🔴 F | Face – Has their face drooped on one side?
🔴 A | Arms – Can they raise both arms?
🔴 S | Speech – Is their speech slurred or difficult to understand?
🔴 T | Time – Call Triple Zero (000) immediately if you notice any of these signs.

Your GP can also help you understand and manage factors that may influence your risk of stroke, including blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, smoking and heart health.

💙 RSV can affect people at different stages of life, but the risk of severe illness can be greater for young infants, older adults and some people with certain medical conditions.

At Morisset Doctors, RSV vaccination is available, and our GPs can help you understand whether vaccination is recommended for you based on your age, pregnancy, medical history and individual circumstances.

Under current Australian recommendations, RSV vaccination is recommended for:

🤰 Pregnant women from 28–36 weeks of pregnancy, maternal RSV vaccination is funded under the National Immunisation Program (NIP) and is recommended during each pregnancy to help protect the newborn from RSV after birth.

👵 Adults aged 75 years and over, RSV vaccination is recommended and funded under the NIP.

🖤💛❤️ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 60 years and over, RSV vaccination is recommended and funded under the NIP.

🩺 Adults aged 60 years and over with specified medical risk factors for severe RSV disease, vaccination is recommended based on individual risk. However, it is not currently funded under the NIP for this group unless other NIP eligibility criteria are met, and private costs may apply.
