To our incredible team of nurses,

Thank you for the tireless care, compassion, and dedication you bring to our community every single day. Your hard work often goes unseen, yet the impact you make in the lives of others is immeasurable.

You are there during life’s happiest moments, offering comfort, reassurance, and kindness. You are also there in times of hardship, holding hands, easing fears, and providing strength when it’s needed most. The love you have for your work and for your patients shines through in everything you do.

Being a nurse is more than a profession — it is a calling, and each of you answers that call with grace, resilience, humour and an unwavering commitment to making a difference. Your compassion changes lives, your care brings hope, and your presence means more than words can express.

Thank you for all that you do, for the countless sacrifices you make, and for the extraordinary difference you bring to the lives of so many. Our community is stronger, healthier, and kinder because of you.

With heartfelt gratitude, thank you for being truly amazing.

Heart disease can happen at any age for women, with risk factors changing over time, including during pregnancy and menopause.

Despite this, women are less likely than men to attend cardiac rehab, take their medicines regularly, or make long-term lifestyle changes after being diagnosed with a heart condition. They’re also less likely to receive treatment for a heart attack or chest pain in hospital.

It’s important to know the warning signs of a heart attack and take steps to protect your heart health — early action can make a big difference.
