One of the things I often hear from people who've had a psychedelic experience is that they're a bit unsure of what to do with it.

Something shifted. Something felt true, and important. Maybe the way they perceive their reality has drastically changed.

But they're back in their normal life. And perhaps no one around them understands.

For some people, it's a beautiful, expansive experience, for others maybe something unexpected comes up; old trauma, intense feelings or sensations and perhaps things don't feel complete.

There's also a window afterward where our brain is more plastic, real change is possible, but it needs support to take root.

Without that support, insights can fade. Or things can be left unprocessed.

I've written a bit more about this, and why integration matters, in a new blog on my website. Or feel free to check out my 'psychedelic support' page on my website to find out more.

One of the main things I notice people struggling with is, feeling unsafe on the inside when everything seems fine on the outside.

Your sitting in your own lounge room. Walking down the street. Driving in your car.

Nothing's wrong.
And yet your heart is racing.
Your stomach's in knots.
Or you suddenly feel far away from your own body.

This isn't a malfunction.

It can be linked to patterns your nervous system learned a long time ago, often before you had words for any of it.

You can be capable, self-aware, and still get blindsided by your own body's reactions.

I've written a bit more about this, and why it can change, in a new article on my website.

Why is it so hard to set boundaries with family?

I often see people confused and frustrated about this.

They've been learning to assert their boundaries.

Reflecting, sharing needs, trying to change patterns.

And yet… They still feel pulled back into the same dynamics with family.

Maybe it looks like second-guessing themselves after a conversation.

Saying yes when they meant no.

Feeling guilty for even thinking about creating distance.

Or leaving an interaction feeling drained, unsettled, or small.

I've written a bit more about this. If you're interested, follow the link in the comments.

I’ve been sharing recently about the opportunities which have come my way through Anam Cara Centre’s CPACT training and associated mentorship pathways.

I’ve been gifted opportunities to deepen my experience in supervised, TGA approved medicine-assisted psychotherapy settings with Rainbow Mandala Clinics, alongside some truly caring, heart centred and highly experienced practitioners.

I’m deeply grateful for the learning I’m receiving in a field I feel so passionate about.

If you’d like to know more about legal psychedelic therapy in Australia, training opportunities for clinicians or if you’re looking for a therapist to support you in preparation and integration of non-ordinary states, I’d love to hear from you ✨🙂🍄

A question I’ve been asked a lot lately:
Why do I feel anxious for no reason?

When things are actually okay or even great.
You’re showing up, getting things done, managing life.

But something feels unsettled.

Maybe you notice yourself constantly scrolling, trying to switch off but not quite being able to.

Or finding it hard to fully relax.

It can be confusing, frustrating, and draining.
Like your system is working overtime and never quite taking a break.

There can be many different reasons anxiety shows up like this.
Sometimes it may be linked to patterns your nervous system learned earlier on, even if your life looks very different now.

You can be capable, high-functioning, and still not quite feel safe.

I’ve written a bit more about this, and what might be supportive, in a new article on my website.

I have just returned home from our final multi-day retreat as part of my year-long training in psychedelic-assisted therapy through Anam Cara Centre.

We spent the days learning and practicing the SWIM model. A beautiful therapeutic framework that weaves together Somatic awareness, Wisdom, Interdependence, and Metacognition. It's one of the frameworks that underpins how we'll work with people in expanded states.

Spending time alongside other amazing therapists and our mentors learning, discussing and practicing has been so nourishing for me as a therapist who usually works from home in private practice.

The retreat also included a Holotropic Breathwork immersion which was extremely powerful for me and a reminder that expanded states can be accessed through many doorways, not only through medicines.

There's something really nourishing about gathering in person with people who approach this work with so much care, curiosity, and integrity. I always come away feeling inspired and excited for what’s to come in the slowly shifting landscape of psychedelic assisted therapy here in Australia.

I’m grateful to be part of it.

What happens when women come together, slow down and connect ✨

I've just returned from a beautiful few days assisting my friend Chloe Adriana on her Winter Witches retreat on stunning Bunurong Country.

Dropping into presence with a group of women, moving through creative practices, embodiment, myth, story, honesty and vulnerability. Time spent connecting to nature, to our bodies, and to how we relate with other women, repatterning old ways of being and dreaming into future possibilities.

I shared my skills in natural dyes as we created an altar item from silk and eucalyptus, setting intentions together, talking about the seeds we are planting for our next cycle. For me, working with natural materials, with plants and fabric and slow processes, is deeply restorative. It's a reminder that creativity and healing are not separate, that things can shift in us when we create with our hands.

This kind of work sits close to my heart and helps me remember that healing happens in relationship, in the body, in nature, in places where our unique expressions are celebrated.

I have a few spaces for 1:1 therapy open at the moment if you've been thinking about reaching out. Feel free to send me a message or find the link to my website in my bio 🌿

This year I’ve been deep diving into psychedelic-assisted therapy through Anam Cara's CPACT training (link in comments for those interested to read more).

I’ve just spent the last week participating in my first clinical trial, and it has been such a powerful experience. I'm so grateful to be surrounded by epic community in this space, learning from my mentor and friend, Alana Roy and feeling the support of my peers and the team at Rainbow. I’m excited about the potential of these medicines becoming more widely available.

May they be held with reverence, care and reciprocity 🌱
