Step into Penny's world through art. 💙
Parkinson's what Parkinson's? is an inspiring exhibition of watercolour ink paintings created by Parkinson's WA client Penny. Through her artwork, Penny shares creativity, resilience and a perspective that goes beyond a Parkinson's diagnosis.
If you're in Esperance or nearby, check out this special exhibition and support a talented local artist.
📅Opening (free) - Saturday, 22 August, 1:00–3:00pm
📍 Bistro Louis, 48 Dempster Street, Esperance

The exhibition runs for about a month after the opening.

Could a repurposed heart medication help slow the progression of Parkinson's?
Parkinson's WA is proud to support the PROTECT-PD clinical trial in Perth, led by researchers from the Perron Institute and Curtin University.
The study is recruiting around 140 people with early Parkinson's (diagnosed within the last 3 years). If you're 40+ and meet the eligibility criteria, you may be able to take part and contribute to important Parkinson's research. 🧠✨

💙 On 21 July 2026, Parkinson's WA proudly hosted our Parkinson's Nurse Specialist Education Day at The Niche.
Our Parkinson's Nurse Specialists came together for a day of learning, collaboration, and connection, with presentations from psychologists, speech pathologists, research coordinators, neurologists, and Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) trainers. 🩺✨
A highlight of the day was the opportunity for nurses to share their experiences and learn from one another, strengthening the care and support provided to people living with Parkinson's.
A big thank you to all our guest speakers and attendees for making the day such a success! 💙
