This year's journey to Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park gave 160 passengers the chance to enjoy breathtaking views, great company & a beautiful native bush-inspired lunch.

The record-breaking $134,000 raised will help us make a difference in the lives of children with hearing & vision loss. Thank you for your continued support 💙

Celebrating Thomas Pattison Day 💚

In 1860, Thomas Pattison opened Australia’s first school for children who were deaf, laying the foundations for what is now NextSense School.

This year, our school community celebrated with a special assembly, followed by a reunion for alumni of Thomas Pattison School. Our board members also came together for a workshop, a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge Thomas Pattison’s extraordinary impact.

We’re excited to share that our centre for innovation at Macquarie Park has received a 2026 Good Design Australia Award!

Designed with accessibility & inclusion at its heart, the centre brings together hearing & vision services, education & research in a purpose-built space to improve outcomes for people with hearing & vision loss.

It’s also a hub for collaboration, innovation & knowledge-sharing, connecting expertise across Australia & beyond to help shape a more inclusive future.

A big thank you to WMK Architecture & everyone involved in bringing this vision to life!

People can make & experience music in different ways. Beethoven composed his Ninth Symphony, including Ode to Joy, after he lost his hearing.

"Hearing loss hasn’t stopped me from doing the things that I love," said our amazing client Hallie, who took to the stage alongside 6 other talented children at the 2026 Power of Speech event held at Parliament House Canberra.

Hallie addressed politicians, including Federal Minister for Health and Ageing Minister for Disability & the NDIS Mark Butler MP; & Melissa McIntosh MP, Shadow Minister for the NDIS, Shadow Minister for Families and Social Services & Shadow Minister for Women.

What a wonderful celebration of what's possible & the importance of specialised support for children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
