NextSense

NextSense is a not-for-profit that provides services for people with hearing or vision loss.

We work with both children, adults and their families to educate and create an individual program of care that meets their unique needs. We’re a registered NDIS provider, and we work with you to achieve your goals and potential. With the support of generous donations, NextSense provides vital support for children and adults, more cochlear implants than any other service in Australia, and is a world leader for research, technology and professional education in our field.

A huge thank you to Community Bank Epping for helping create more opportunities for children to learn, play & thrive at NextSense Preschool.

Thanks to the Bank’s generous grant, we’ve been able to purchase new outdoor play equipment that encourages exploration, movement, creativity & social connection for children who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind or have low vision, alongside their peers from the broader community 🧩

We were delighted to recently welcome Community Bank Epping Committee Chair Craig Gallagher & Committee Member Victor Serna to Macquarie Park, where they saw the new equipment in action & met some of the team whose work their support has helped make possible.

Outdoor play is such an important part of every child’s development, helping build confidence, communication, physical skills & independence.

We’re incredibly grateful to Community Bank Epping for investing in experiences that will benefit children & families for years to come. Thank you for your partnership & commitment to helping children reach their full potential 💙

Our NextSense School students recently made a visit across the road to RDA NSW Ryde Centre 🐎

As part of the Horse Riding Program, students built their riding skills & coordination while also learning how to care for horses. Every session was led by experienced RDA coaches & supported by dedicated volunteers, whose encouragement helped make the experience so rewarding. This opportunity was made possible thanks to the generous support of The Allison Group 💚

Through our education services & learning tools like UEB Online that support braille literacy, we are empowering students to thrive inside & outside the classroom & ensuring braille remains as relevant as ever.

From learning Braille as a young child to receiving specialist support through our School Support Service, Josh has worked tirelessly to pursue his goals. Today, he's studying a double degree in Engineering & Architectural Design.
