Ever felt guilty about one of these? You aren’t alone 🙇‍♀️

One of the BEST financial strategies the health industry has is to make you feel like something is wrong with you..

ALL THE TIME

❌You’re a failure because you couldn’t stick to x y or z… You need to buy this supplement or pay for this program to fix yourself and so on.

It’s the perfect way to draw you into a new fad diet or new 6 week fitness challenge isn’t it?

You need to be fixed and THEY have the strategy to fix yourself.

Well we have news, you aren’t a failure at all.

➡️ You won’t stick to 1200 calories per day and feel good for it. It’s just not enough fuel for anyone (except a child)

➡️ Each meal won’t hit every macro and we don’t expect that. We always look at your week as a whole, not one specific meal 🗓️

➡️ You will absolutely feel out of control around sugary foods if put too much mental focus on avoiding them. Remember the saying ‘don’t think about a pink elephant’. Well now you’re thinking about one aren’t you? 🐘

➡️ You will always have days where you are hungrier than usual. You aren’t a machine, your body has different fuel needs on different days! Time of your cycle, stress at work, recovering from a tough workout or fighting a cold will all influence your needs 🍽️

1) Stop skipping meals 🍽️
Restriction often backfires and will lead to stronger/uncontrollable cravings

2) Don’t over supplement 💊
More isn’t better. It can often disrupt your gut bacteria balance and put too much pressure on your body systems.

3) Add don’t Subtract ➕
Instead of cutting foods out, focus on what’s missing from your diet and add it in 🍎🥗🥒🥜🥙

Your weekly reminder that you need to be looking after yourself! 💚

You can train as regularly as you like, but if you aren’t fuelling your body properly you risk doing so much damage!

▶️ Your body won’t have the fuel to recover properly
▶️ A poorly recovered body means increased risk of injury
▶️ You’ll be more prone to catching more illnesses
▶️ You might ‘feel’ like you’re training intensely but it’s probably just you feeling under fuelled 🤷🏻‍♀️
▶️ You’ll be more susceptible to both thyroid and mood imbalances which can impact your day-to-day life and sleep patterns.

AND under eating and over training can make you hold onto more body weight.

Exercise isn’t the only way you take care of yourself, you absolutely need to be eating sufficiently too 💚

A slight change in mindset makes the biggest difference here 🙌

Food noise is LOUD but it’s easy to get used to it and forget what it’s like to not be worrying, analysing and overthinking every meal.

When you start eating to FEEL your best, it becomes so much more rewarding and so much easier. Suddenly you have more mental space for things that truly matter - family, friendships, life enjoyment.

What sounds better long term?

1️⃣Making certain food choices to punish yourself for skipping a workout, eating too much chocolate or gaining 1kg.

2️⃣ Making certain food choices to ensure you can be fuelled and energised enough to enjoy your day best.

I know what option I’d be choosing 🙋🏻‍♀️
