Loose parts play:

Our Pink room has been busy enjoying exploring loose parts play. Incorporating items from our recycle material station and natural materials collected the children are able to use their thinking skills as they incorporate the open-ended materials into their play, exploring their ideas and concepts and utilising their imaginations and creativity. By using natural materials the children are also able to explore their senses, what sounds can be made when tapped together, the texture of different items.

What we as adults can sometimes see as 'recycling or rubbish' has so many developmental benefits including problem solving, language development, creativity, increases nature curiosity and cognitive learning. Its amazing to see what children can create with different items, trial and error and creativity!

Book Week celebrates the joy of reading and helps children build a lifelong passion for literature. Its a time when educators and families come together to celebrate reading, strengthening the connection between home and early learning environments.

It was amazing to see the children and educators dressed up and sharing their favourite books and stories with each other throughout the week.

*NAIDOC Week*

This year we are celebrating 50 years of NAIDOC week. NAIDOC week celebrates and recognises the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torre Strait Islander peoples.

Through a variety of different stories, artwork and experiences incorporating natural and recycled materials the children have been exploring the History and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Babies room open day!

Looking at enrolling your baby, 0-12 month old, and not sure where to start?

We will be holding an open day for new families on Saturday 11th July 2026 from 930am- 1030am. This will be a chance to come down to the centre and view our babies room and chat with our experienced educators.

Following on from our four year old kindergarten incursion with Balegrow, the children have assisted in maintaining our haybale garden. The kindergarten room added a water pump to collect rain water, and used milk cartons to create sustainable watering cans for the children to water the garden with.

These sustainable practices help foster empathy for the environment, the children learning to care for and respect their garden, and support’s the children’s sense of agency. Since having the haybale garden the children have demonstrated more interest in nutrition and we have been exploring the benefits that different fruits and vegetables have on our bodies. The children have also showcased their own gardens from home promoting a strong sense of belonging and identity.
