Zenn AbilityFridays roll around so fast, and I am always greeted with nothing but smiles and happiness when arriving for an our weekly Therapeutic Art workshop !

This week was a wonderful surprise as the rubber band of technique was stretched a little wider than usual! Using acrylics with a twist , on premium watercolour paper our Creative friends as always were up for the challenge to create a beautiful outback sunset silhouette artwork.

Blending acrylics down to appear as watercolours is no mean feat when a new technique is being learned, but the relaxing wave of back and forth movement in our brushes was well received and executed! With many steps explained in a step by step process, everyone created absolutely amazing paintings that they should truly be proud of. With a group of wonderful artists , all building their individual creative abilities through our weekly workshops, it truly filled my heart to see how proud everyone was of their artwork, and how much they enjoyed the layered process using varied art supplies.

Great work everyone, and thank you so much for gathering for a group photo! It isn’t often that an opportunity presents to get everyone together after finishing, so I’m so glad we did today.

When your inner child comes out to play, age does not matter! Giggles and laughs become louder, confidence blooms and colours show up in the purest form of joy!!!

Our Zenn Creatives had a ball today in our Therapeutic Art Workshop. With gentle guidance as to the benefits of letting go of any limiting beliefs, and just allowing ourselves to express our thoughts, feelings and emotions through colour on the page, that’s exactly what we did!

Using the repetition of colourful circles and wavy lines as the only guideline to get things moving, I introduced everyone to a wonderful new medium ~ “Paint Sticks!”

With vibrant pigments and a beautiful creamy texture , loading up colour onto 2 different surfaces (watercolour and mixed media paper) it was wonderful to explore, and wasn’t long before everyone was in their element, unlocking the joy of creating freely just like when they were small children playing with art! I wish I could have bottled the joy that filled our workshop today, I don’t think my heart could have been any more full as I listened to the laughs & conversations, and witnessed the smiles & words shared how everyone is having the best time coming to art each week 🫶🫶🫶🥰🥰🥰💕💕💕

Sometimes as adults we get so caught up in our busy lives, that we forget to turn off auto pilot and allow ourselves to just have fun, play and create with colour and see where it takes us.

Today for a couple of hours, our creatives allowed their inner child to sparkle bright, and let loose in a colourful playground where carefree minds created joyfully, self care cups were refilled, and the smiles said it all 🥰✨🖌️🎨💕

Playing catchup with our Zenn Creatives! We’ve had a lovely time creating these 3d butterflies with beautiful vibrant colours!
A lovely way to welcome back our days where colouring in was a beautiful way of relaxing and making art without a care in the world! Using richly pigmented colours these butterflies came to life as they were cut out and placed onto the cardstock with wings that moved on the background cardstock. Beautiful work everyone and such a fun way to bring out our inner child to play!!!

We were proud to support the Penrith Panthers Christmas in July visit to Nepean Hospital. 🎅🏻🫶🏻

Seeing the smiles and special moments shared with patients, families and staff is a wonderful reminder of the difference our community can make together.

Thank you to the Panthers and everyone involved. Zenn Ability is grateful to have played a part. ❤️
