A safe space to connect and heal
Be open. Be Willing. Be brave

At Brave Recovery, our mission is to expand minds and open hearts. We provide a safe and supportive environment for mental health support and personal growth. It’s not just about healing; it’s about connection, sharing experiences, and creating community.

Cobie Bevan brings light, laughter and a dynamic skillset to Brave Recovery. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science, Diploma in Mental Health, and a Cert IV in Life Coaching. Her roles as a Mental Health Case Manager, Recovery Coach and NDIS Support Coordinator, has seen her managing participants with significant and acute mental health diagnoses. She began her own consultancy business supporting NDIS participants in 2020. Her lived experience has given her first-hand expertise in grief, suicide, addiction, childhood trauma, and narcissistic abuse recovery. She has made it her life mission to affect positive change in people on their recovery journeys, supporting both clinical approaches and alternative modalities. When Cobie is not connecting with her clients, you will find her wrangling her three daughters and French bulldog as a single mother, striving for work/life balance at a yoga class, roller-skating, or at the beach.

“It’s really scary for me to do that, but it’s safe to do so here.”

For Kirsty, every program at Brave has been a chance to unmask a little more. To say what she needs, listen to her body, and feel comfortable being her true self.

That’s what we work hardest to create: a space where people feel safe enough to just be themselves.

Know someone who could use support like this? We’d love to hear from you. Link in bio 🩵

“Mum, I’m not okay today.”

For our founder Cobie, hearing those words from her girls means something’s working. Since they lost their Dad seven months ago, honesty has become the way they get through it together. When she opens up about their own struggles, they feel safe sharing theirs.

This World Mental Health Day, the theme is “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change.” Real change can start at home, with one honest conversation. Even as simple as a car ride, asking for phones away, and letting conversations unfold.

Testimonials like this stay with us.

For a lot of the people who reach us, the hardest part of recovery isn’t the program itself. It’s learning that looking after themselves isn’t selfish. It’s what makes them able to keep showing up for the people they love.

At Brave Recovery, our programs give people that permission. A safe space to put themselves first, even just for a few days, and come away with tools they can actually use.

If you know someone who’s spent too long pouring from an empty cup, we’d love to hear from you.

For some men, asking for help doesn’t come naturally. And the more pressure they feel to open up, the more they pull away.

That doesn’t mean they don’t need support. It means they need a different way.

Our Men’s Program brings together men for five days in Margaret River, with individualised support tailored to each person. Time in nature, getting out of your comfort zone, and reconnecting with yourself and others in a supportive environment.

📅 9–13 October
🏡 Your own private room
🚐 Transport to and from the program
🩵 NDIS-funded for eligible participants

We don’t run these often, and there are just a few places left. If this sounds like you, your son, partner or brother, or someone you support, get in touch.

There’s something special about the connection between people and animals 💙

At our Margaret River programs, participants build confidence, emotional regulation and meaningful relationships while soaking up the calm of nature and shared experiences with animals.

It’s often these simple experiences that create the biggest shifts.

With a max of 10 participants per program, there’s real space and one-on-one time for these connections to happen.

Next program dates:

🗓️ 23-27 October 2026 - Margaret River
🗓️ 20-24 November 2026 - Margaret River

Today is R U OK Day.

This one is personal to me - you'll hear why in the video.

If you're struggling, you are not alone. And if someone's been on your mind lately, this is your sign to ask them if they’re doing OK. Be vulnerable and brave, and check in with them. You’ll be surprised the impact that has.

At Brave Recovery, we support NDIS participants with mental health challenges. Reach out to us if you would like to hear more about what we do.

Testimonials like this show we are delivering on our purpose.

Adriana came to us needing space. Space to process what was going on in her life and figure out a plan.

For many people, finding somewhere they feel genuinely supported in their recovery - not just accommodated - is rare.

At Brave Recovery, our programs provide a safe space where people are supported to do purposeful work, and come away with tangible tools they can use in every day life.

If you know someone who needs a plan for their recovery, we’d love to hear from you.

We're called Brave Recovery because recovery requires bravery.

Attending a program, meeting new people, trying new experiences, and pushing beyond the limitations of your mind isn't easy. It's brave.

Hear from some of the people who have trusted us with their recovery journey. Their words mean more than anything we could say about what we do.

If you've been wondering whether this is for you, or for someone you support, hopefully these stories answer that 🩵
