Trying one of these strange but effective grounding techniques can be just the sensory shock you need to break out of your daily routines.
If you find that you struggle to do usual mindfulness activities, sensory shocks might be just what you need. Instead of trying to calm yourself by noticing the world around you, force yourself to focus your energy on the present moment.
Sometimes we work so hard just to get by that we can forget to take a moment to smell the roses. It is so essential to remember to stop and appreciate even the small things in our daily lives.
Being grounded means that you are the one in control of your actions, instead of letting your emotions control you.
