The first thing almost everyone says after crying on the mat is „sorry.“ Then: „I don’t even know why I’m crying.“

You don’t have to know. Your body has been keeping a list for years: the times you swallowed it, smiled through it, or said „I’m fine“ in the car park before walking into work. When the breath finally softens things enough, some of that list gets read out. It doesn’t always arrive with a story or a memory attached. Sometimes it’s just water leaving.

So in my sessions nobody apologises for tears. I’ll ask if you want a hand on your back, and I won’t ask you to explain. Most people tell me afterwards that it felt like setting down a bag they forgot they were carrying.

When did you last cry and not know why? Was it in a session, in the car, in the shower? Tell me below.

Private sessions, online or in person. Link in bio.

„You need surgery.“ My body heard that sentence before I did. Cold hands, my heart up in my throat, and the doctor’s next words just washed past me.

Then came the check-ups, every month. And two months later it was back.

I know all the tools. I teach them. In that chair I still forgot every one. What helped me were the simplest things: feet on the floor, a longer breath out, one hand on my chest while I waited for my name to be called.

They didn’t make the news any easier. They kept me in the room, so I could actually hear what came next.

Save this for the next waiting room. What does your body do when the news is hard?

The first time my hands cramped in a breathwork session, the facilitator told me it was just „stuck energy leaving my body.“ I believed that for years. Many people still do, and some facilitators keep pushing the breath harder because of it, as if the cramp is proof the session is working.

Your body is far more practical than that. It’s telling you how hard you’re breathing, nothing mystical. Once you know that, you stop being afraid of it, and you also stop chasing it.

In my sessions we go to the edge and stay just this side of it. You can still feel a lot there: heat, waves, emotion, the floor disappearing a little. The big shift usually comes after, when your body realises it was allowed to feel all of that and nothing bad happened.

Have you ever had the claw hands or the shaking in a session? What did you think was going on at the time? Tell me below.

Most of the people who lie down in our circle have been holding themselves together for a long time. Shoulders up, jaw tight, breath high in the chest, ready for the next thing.

So we wrap them. Firm and warm, from the feet up, like a big hug in a bag. Think of how a baby settles when it’s swaddled, or how your whole body drops when someone holds you a little longer than usual. The body understands that kind of pressure faster than any words. Once it feels held, it stops bracing, and then the breath can go deeper on its own, without anyone pushing.

That’s when the gongs, the bowls and the harp start to work.

After the festival, Masters of Calm invited us back to Vilnius for three circles, because their community had received the Cocoon Method so strongly. This one carried a very special energy. You could feel it in the room: our bodies and our wisdom, carried by the breath.

Afterwards they took us to their Sweet Love café for pizza, coffee and sweets, under a neon sign that said it all: the secret ingredient is love.

Thank you, Masters of Calm, and especially Justina, who was with us from the first moment to the last.

When did you last let yourself be held?

Tonight’s full moon in Ta**us is not a soft one.

The Moon in Ta**us sits opposite the Sun in Scorpio, and both are squared by Pluto. That’s a tight triangle of pressure, about what has to end before something new can grow. On top of that, Venus, the planet that rules Ta**us, is retrograde and met the Sun just two days ago, so old feelings, old relationships and old questions about what we value are rising back up. Mercury turned retrograde the same day, so words come out sideways.

If your sleep has been strange this week, that’s a lot to carry into bed. Researchers found we already go to bed later and sleep less in the three to five nights before a full moon, even without all of that.

Ta**us is the earth sign that lives in the body. In the body, it rules the neck and the throat: the place where we swallow what we don’t say, where the jaw tightens, where the voice gets stuck. When there’s a lot of pressure and too few words, the throat is often where it lands.

So I didn’t want to give you another full moon ritual for your head. I wanted something for the throat. A hand resting there, lips closed, one long low hum. The hum makes your breath out slow and long without you counting, and the buzz under your hand gives a busy mind one simple thing to feel. I play the same low note on the handpan so you’re not humming alone.

Three long hums tonight, lights off. Let Pluto do its work while you sleep.

Send this to the friend who texted you at 2am.

If you run retreats, you know the hardest part is the middle of the day. Everyone has arrived, the food is good, and you want something that lets your guests drop out of their heads and actually feel their body.

That’s what we bring. Saturday we left at 8:47 in fog so thick we could barely see the road, drove two hours with the car full of blankets and instruments, and set up the room before anyone came in. This group of women asked us back for the second time, which still means a lot to us.

We bring everything: the cocoon wraps, the sound, the breathwork, and the care around it. You just bring your people. What happens inside stays with them.

Hosting a retreat, a women’s circle or a spa weekend? Comment COCOON and we’ll send you the details.

People often ask why my work is called the Cocoon Method. At the end of a session I wrap people in a soft, big blanket, head to toe. A big hug in a bag. Most of them go quiet within a minute, and some fall asleep.

We also call it the spaceship 🚀

I don’t do that to look pretty. A body that feels held stops bracing, and a body that stops bracing can finally let things move and settle. That’s the whole idea: you don’t have to push your way into the next version of yourself. You need a safe place to be in the middle for a while.

Which part of the story are you in right now: still eating leaves, wrapped up, or drying your wings?

When was the last time you felt completely held? Not „fine“, held. Tell me where you were.

If you’d like to try the cocoon yourself, find the details for private sessions, online or in person in my bio!

Most people who lie down on my mat for the first time have no idea how they’re breathing. They come because they can’t sleep, or because they snapped at their kids again, or because their back has hurt for years. Almost nobody comes and says „I think my breath is stuck.“

That’s the thing about the body. What you feel on the surface is rarely where it started. The tight shoulders might be holding something your head decided to stop thinking about a long time ago. The 3am thoughts might be a body that never learned it’s allowed to stop.

That’s why I don’t work with one method. Some days it’s the breath. Some days it’s a part of you that needs to be heard first. Some days you just need to be wrapped up and left in peace for a while, so your body can find out what safe feels like again.

Which number was yours? Most people find more than one. Tell me in the comments.

Most people know their Sun sign and stop there. The wheel in this reel is also a map of twelve areas of your life, from your body and your home to how you love, how you work and how you rest.

That map is what we built The Map Home on. Twelve weeks, one area at a time, with breath, your body and your own chart showing the way. A love retreat for you, at home, no suitcase needed.

Launching soon. Send us a message with the word HOME and you’ll be the first to hear.

Curious where your planets are at home right now? Mariano reads your chart in a private session, link in bio.

Which area of your life would you start with?
Much Love, Mariano
