Come play, chat and connect!

We are excited to be joining Gosnells Toy Library’s Stay & Play sessions, bringing our allied health expertise along to support local families.

While the little ones play, parents and caregivers can chat with our clinicians, ask questions about their child’s development and pick up practical ideas to support everyday play and family life.

So, what can you expect?

Stay & Play Support Sessions
Our clinicians will join the session, chat with families, answer questions and share practical ideas you can take home and use in everyday life.

Parent Sessions & Support
These sessions include a 30-minute information session on a developmental topic, followed by time to chat with our clinicians, ask questions and explore practical support.

Across the upcoming sessions, families will have opportunities to connect with our Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Autism Assessment teams. Whether you have a question, are looking for a few practical ideas, or simply want to learn more about your child’s development, come along and have a chat.

Best of all, Stay & Play is free and open to everyone, whether you’re a Toy Library member or not.

📅 Starting Monday 19 October
🕙 10am–11am
📍 Gosnells Toy Library

Not sure if your child could benefit from therapy?

The school holidays can be the perfect time to find out.

With fewer school commitments and more flexibility, many families use the break to access support and explore services that can help their child build confidence, communication, independence, movement and everyday life skills.

We have Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Physiotherapy appointments available throughout the school holidays across selected Superyou locations, with appointments available for both NDIS-funded and private clients.

Maddie found a place she wanted to stay.

Not every great clinician is looking for a promotion. Sometimes they’re looking for a workplace that finally feels like the right fit.

When Maddie joined Superyou, she was relatively new to the disability sector and looking for a role that would help her build her skills without sacrificing the work-life balance that mattered to her.

What she found was something more.

The trust to make decisions. The flexibility to build a career around her interests. And a workplace where professional growth isn’t limited to a predefined pathway.

Over time, Maddie has expanded her clinical expertise, explored new opportunities, and stepped into leadership, all while staying true to what matters most to her.

Because when people feel trusted, supported and encouraged to keep learning, they stay. They thrive. And the people they support benefit too.

At Superyou, we’re looking for experienced clinicians who want more than just their next role. We’re looking for people who want to build a career shaped by their strengths, interests and ambitions.

And there’s never been a better time to make the move. New clinical team members may be eligible for a $3,000 welcome bonus, making it even easier to take the next step in a career that’s built around your strengths, interests and goals.

Last week, we had the privilege of celebrating the official opening of our new team hub in Bassendean with a Housewarming and Smoking Ceremony.

It was a wonderful way to mark this next chapter, bringing people together to acknowledge the place where we work and connect, while celebrating the community that surrounds us.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. As Superyou continues to grow, this additional space will help create greater capacity across our Bassendean locations, freeing up more therapy space and making it easier for individuals and families to access the support they need.

We look forward to continuing to build connections, support our community and improve access to therapy services for local individuals and families.

Today, Superyou recognised R U OK? Day through our Take One, Give One, Share One initiative.

Across our hubs, team members were encouraged to take a moment for themselves (and a snack), check in with a colleague, and share one thing that helps them get through a tough week.

Pictured here is our Wanneroo team, who came together for a morning tea featuring some fantastic R U OK? Day cupcakes.

Through the day, staff across the organisation contributed to our R U OK? Day Word Cloud, helping create a collective snapshot of the people, activities and strategies that support wellbeing at Team Superyou.

It's a reminder that looking after ourselves and each other doesn't have to be complicated. Small moments of connection can make a big difference.

✨ Who knew party planning could be part of therapy?

Our young adult AAC group has been building their communication skills by planning their very own Glow Party!

Together, they decided their party should include:
🎵 Music
💃 Dancing
🎲 Games
📸 Photography
🥤 Drinks
🎨 Face paint
🌈 Neon colours and decorations

Over the past few weeks, the group explored what glows under UV light, designed and decorated neon shirts, brainstormed ideas, shared opinions and made group decisions and used AAC to discuss, plan and prepare.

AAC isn’t just about requesting. It’s about sharing ideas, making plans, connecting with others and creating experiences together.

And judging by the great chats, smiles, dancing and glowing faces, this party was a hit!

We're proud to celebrate one of our Speech Pathologists, Matthew Cirocco, who has co-authored a newly published paper led by Noongar Elder and Researcher Brenda Larsen.

Pictured (left to right): Associate Professor Britta Biedermann, Brenda Larsen, and Matthew Cirocco.

The research focused on co-designing Noongar language and speech sound resources with Elders, educators, clinicians and students.

Why is this exciting? Because research like this helps shape more culturally responsive speech pathology practices and supports more inclusive and equitable outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.

We're proud to see Matthew contributing to this important work and look forward to learning from and using these resources in practice.

Congratulations to the entire research team!
