Skillzlabtherapy The Skillz Lab: a Multidisciplinary group including PT, OT, SPT and Music Therapy with kids in mind!

The Skillz Lab is a Specialist team of Physio's, OT's, Speech Patholologists and Musci Therapists who have significant experience in providing care to babies, children and adolescents with neuromuscular and neurogenetic disorders. The Skillz Lab aims to work collaboratively, together we provide both regular appointments and Intensive Therapy for children with a Neurological, Neuromuscular or Neurogenetic disorders. This can involve both discipline specific and joint discipline sessions to maximise the outcome for the child. We work closely with the family, in a family-centred practice model to ensure we help our special little friends live their best life!

And still going!!

So today my amazing friend Ella achieved something sensational!
She (read I!) set the goal of walking 25 laps of our gym, which equates to 1km. The tricky thing is she only started walking by herself 2 months ago🏆 Not only did she smash it but she did it in 40 minutes🌟
I am soooooooo proud of you, not only are you super brave Ella but you are determined to overcome any fears holding you back👊👊

Have your say on the title "Special Needs Dentistry" 🦷

The Health Consumers' Council WA, on behalf of the Dental Board of Australia, is seeking community feedback on whether the title "Special Needs Dentistry" is understandable, appropriate and respectful today.

They are looking to hear from people who have been referred to a special needs dentist, family members and carers of someone who has, or community members with perspectives on use of the term.

Workshop details:
- Monday 26 October, 10:00am - 11:30am
- Participants will receive a reimbursement of $93.75 for their time
- Includes a short pre-workshop survey

ALL ABILITIES // Help create more inclusive opportunities at your club by joining our All Abilities Training Workshops for the 2026/27 season!

We will be facilitating a series of All Abilities Training and Information Sessions to support clubs in developing their All Abilities Coordinators and interested volunteers.

These sessions will be approximately two hours long and will cover topics about disability, inclusion, and adaptation of activities.

The workshops are open to all interested club members, volunteers, and All Abilities Coordinators.
