A truly special moment in Malaysia, standing between two of the greatest men and giants in their respective fields.

The first is my father, Dr Mutahar Snr, my teacher in life & medicine, one of the greatest human beings and my ultimate role model. The second is my uncle, Dato’ Professor Mohammad Hashim Kamali a mentor and guide who has profoundly illuminated my path.

While my uncle is a man of immense humility, he is a global authority in jurisprudence and theology. Having served as a Professor of Law and Dean at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) for decades, his textbooks are essential reading in universities worldwide. He is recognised as the most-read author globally in the field of jurisprudence.

Beyond academia, his influence reaches the highest levels of global diplomacy. He has consulted with heads of state, including the King of Jordan, and engaged in high-level interfaith dialogue with the Pope. As the Founding CEO of IAIS Malaysia, he is one of the rare non-Malays to be conferred the prestigious title of Dato’ for his monumental contributions to the world.

Despite being consistently ranked among the 500 Most Influential Muslims globally, he remains a beacon of grace and simplicity. He has been a pillar in our lives since my childhood, and as I get older, I find myself appreciating his wisdom more than ever.

To receive a signed copy of his latest book in the presence of my father, is an honour I will always treasure. Thank you, beloved Uncle, for the light you shine on my journey, for your spiritual guidance, and for teaching us the true essence of scholarship and grace. 🙏✨ 📖

I’ve launched an urgent charity fundraiser to support the most desperate families struggling to survive in Afghanistan.
Afghanistan is experiencing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis with over 20 million people facing starvation. I’ve started a charity campaign to raise funds for 100 food packages for the most needy families. 100% of your donations will go towards feeding to most poor and improvised families. Your donations will help save lives. Each food package feeds a family of 8 members for five weeks. We are hoping to raise $8900 USD by September 30. I understand many of you are not in a position to contribute, but we appreciate your thoughts and prayers as well. In the future I hope to start a campaign to build a hospital.

I started this medical page with the intention of spreading medical and preventative health advice to the wider community particularly those living in disadvantages regions with lower access to health care. Initially we started small, only targeting a few countries, however with the help of my team we have managed to diversify our service and are now helping answer medical related questions (include advice regarding COVID 19) to a wide audience of up to 40 thousand people. This service is for free, however we do appreciate your patience as we are trying to get through hundreds of medical related questions and queries, especially given the current COVID 19 pandemic. We have created this page ( Dr Yusof Mutahar ) for the sole purpose to give free medical advice and consultations to patients around the world with limited access to healthcare and in developing countries. You can like and msg me on the page and I will do my best to give advice regarding your medical problems and offer my time for a free consultation. Although this page is new, we have managed to help hundreds so far in Bangladesh and Afghanistan and our next plan is to help Africa. It is our duty as doctors to help those in need.

Cardiovascular disease is one of the biggest causes of mortality and morbidity worldwide.

The most important thing you can do to protect yourself agaisnt stroke and heart disease is to reduce your cardiovascular risk profile.

These include maintaining a healhtly weight, avoid smoking, control blood sugars and cholesterol and live a healthy and active lifestyle.
