We had a Uni student supervisor come into our office today and the comment was “you’ve got a beautiful office and you’re on the up and up”
I took the compliment with gratitude for sure.
It also made me think about what it has taken to build this business.
Putting myself out there, knocking on doors and putting forward proposals that may or may not be accepted.
Working way more hours than I want to admit, or want to think about what my hourly rate has been over the past 6 years 🙈
Being prepared to suck at it, be humbled (ie embarrassed at not having a clue), take MANY risks and do things that weren’t the norm.
As I sit here tonight on the couch with my dog, typing away at a menu design review, I realise that it’s been bloody hard but it’s been the fastest personal development journey!
I’ve developed so many skills I never even thought about. I have confidence in my ability to handle anything (even if it means I’m awake at 3am problem solving).
But best of all, it’s growing a team and having a positive impact for our aged care community that makes it all worth it.
And I’d do it all again, maybe, depending on the day you ask me…😂
