It’s all about Bullsbrook and chittering today with a nice stop in at Tailwinds for my coffee and creamy mushrooms thanks ladies beautiful as always 🙏

With a few more stops for the day I am then headed home to get ready for a wonderful weekend I am so excited to be apart of Wanneroo Horse & Pony Club to be sharing such a wonderful educational space this weekend 🤗🐎

🌧️🐴 A Little Wet Weather Reminder 🐴🌧️

As we head into the wetter months I just wanted to share a friendly reminder to help ensure your horse gets the most out of their treatment session 🤗

Horses should be dry before their appointment and have access to suitable undercover shelter if rain is forecast this allows me to properly assess and work through the muscles as wet coats and damp muscles can make treatment a little more challenging and certainly isn’t ideal

Following treatment it’s also beneficial for horses to be kept warm and protected from the weather where possible once treatment has been completed 🙌

I completely understand that sometimes the weather has other plans especially during winter but a little preparation beforehand can make a big difference to both your horse’s comfort and the overall effectiveness of their treatment 😘

Its updates like these that make me so genuinely happy 🤎

Phoenix the Unicorn loving life as a paddock puff 🦄

This special guy has certainly been on a journey and I am so grateful I got to be apart of it along the way 🤎

Like so many horses Phoenix and his owner Jess faced ongoing soundness challenges over the years and with jess ensuring he had everything at his fingertips from a great farrier myself the vet and her coaches all in their corner working as a team we worked through the ups and downs always putting Phoenix’s wellbeing first 🤎

After many in-depth discussions and careful consideration Jess made the selfless decision to retire him for the sake of his quality of life 🙌

Could Phoenix have continued on with additional intervention and management? Probably to a certain point but the reality was that he wasn’t truly happy in his work and neither was his body and certain issues would continue to resurface and that’s ok 👌

Sometimes our horses don’t enjoy the jobs we ask them to do and sometimes their bodies struggle with the demands within that work and sometimes their behaviour tells us the biggest part of the story but whatever the reason listening to the horse is always the biggest piece of the puzzle so we can treat them accordingly 🤎

At just 10 years old this beautiful boy has embraced retirement and is absolutely thriving in his new role as a professional lawnmower 🤎

Ok so here’s the kicker I am more than aware my spelling grammar and social media skills absolutely suck 🤣

Most certainly not my strong point and I most definitely openly agree and I am more than aware how bad it is at times but hey I do my best 🫠

I kind of write how I sound and I’m known for fluttering backwards and forwards but hey I’m Kristy and that’s just me lol 🤗

I am more than proud of where my strong point is and that’s my hands and feel 🙌

Hats off to all the ones who are good with the socials and marketing side of things though I think it’s a really cool and valuable skill just one I suck at and I genuinely wish I was better 🤣

Your Horse Works Hard 💪

Whether your horse is competing training trail riding or simply enjoying life in the paddock their muscles are working every day just like us after a workout muscles can become tight fatigued and restricted if they aren’t properly maintained and that’s where what I do comes in 🙌

This little power house games pony had 2 sessions 3 weeks apart to get him back on track after he was holding some extra built up tension 🤍

He had been doing some small pig roots and a few little moves hence the extra treatment closer together and then off he went to his next event with his incredible rider Ella aboard 🤍

And the comments and feedback about how incredible he was looking feeling and moving made everything worth while to continue make change and the word was spread which always makes me so very happy 🤍

One for the best outcome for the pony and two to spread the word to all the other horse owners about bodywork that made wonderful comments to bring more awareness to what these sessions can change for their horses 🤍

I look forward to hearing from those wanting to give Equitouch a try that haven’t already experienced these results 🤍

I couldn’t be happier to get this little pocket rocket back to himself 🤍

Little Flo is all excited for my next trip out to Gidgegannup and can’t wait to show me how big she has grown 🧡

Meanwhile my girls decided this morning was the perfect opportunity to demonstrate their best moves when I let them out the bucks zoomies and acrobatics were in full swing and honestly they had me questioning how something so big can be so nimble 🤣🫠

Weekend vibes with our horses just hits different 🐎

No pressure no expectations just good company fresh air and time spent doing what we love most 🤍

Sometimes the best thing for both horse and rider is to step away from the chaos slow down and simply enjoy the partnership we work so hard to build. Whether it’s competing hitting the trails training at home or just sitting in the paddock together these moments matter more than people realise.

Our horses don’t care about the ribbons the results or the opinions around us they care about connection consistency and how we make them feel 🙌

So here’s your reminder to soak up the little moments this weekend laugh a little louder breathe a little deeper and enjoy your horse for everything they are ☀️

Because at the end of the day this journey is supposed to be enjoyed ✨

Today ✨

Being able to share a space such as this what an incredible privilege bringing someone along to share learn and grow with who is so passionate and invested was an absolute breath of fresh air I am so genuinely excited not just for her but the horse community also ✨

When I started this journey I was lucky enough to have an incredible mentor outside of my equestricare studies with the most supportive and encouraging bodyworker Jemma moon well known for her success in the industry and for me that was a privilege and a complete game changer 🙏

So when I was chatting with one of equestricares students an extremely knowledgeable horsewoman Shannon langridge it was a no brainer for me to have her along to do some exposure and learning today and it wasn’t just about me teaching her because when we are open to sharing we all gain from each other and that’s something pretty special 🫶

I absolutely love women empowering women because supporting each other does wonders especially in the horse industry 💪

Shannon it was an absolute pleasure to share space with you today and I look forward to the next time 🤍
