Winter is brutal on feet — dry air, thick socks, less sun, and boots that don’t breathe. Here’s what actually helps:
-Combat dry, cracked heels before they split
Heavy moisturisers with urea or lactic acid at night, then socks.
“If your heels are catching on your sheets, it’s time for this 2min routine.”
-Rotate your boots
Wearing the same pair daily = damp, smelly, fungal-friendly environment. Give them 24h to dry.
Tip for post: Show a simple boot rack setup.
-Skip the cotton socks if you sweat
Cotton stays damp and causes blisters/fungal issues. Go for merino wool or moisture-wicking blends.
Caption angle: “Your grandma’s wool socks were right.”
-Check for poor circulation
Cold feet + numbness + slow-healing cuts can signal circulation issues, especially if you have diabetes.
Vibe: Educational + responsible, not scary.
-Don’t skip trimming nails
People let nails grow wild in winter since they’re hidden. Leads to ingrowns once boot pressure hits.
Reel idea: “Yes, we still see ingrowns in July.”
-Watch for chilblains
Red, itchy, swollen toes from going from cold outside to hot heating. Warm up feet gradually.
Great for “did you know?” posts.
-Moisturise daily, but not between toes
Moisture there = fungal party. Keep it dry between digits.
