Rise Therapy is an occupational therapy service that specialises in mental health and wellbeing. Given the breadth of mental health issues and challenges, Rise Therapy offers a comprehensive range of therapies in both individual and group formats. Such therapies include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), mindfulness based therapies, skills-based therapies and
schema therapy. Patients are assessed and offered individually tailored therapy packages consisting of one or more of the following therapies and general counselling. Primary Practitioner
Maree Mestichelli is an occupational therapist with 25 years of mental health experience. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy (BAppSc OT) and a Master of Counselling (MC) both through Curtin University. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and with the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists (AAOT). She is a member of the Personality Disorder Interest Group and the Mental Health Occupational Therapy Special Interest Group in Perth. Maree’s clinical experience spans both government and private psychiatric sectors both in Australia and in England. She has also lectured in psychiatry/mental health at Curtin University. Maree’s areas of special interest include:
