Forensic science is usually described as what happens in the laboratory. It does not begin there. It begins at the roadside, in the custody suite and at the scene, with the first instrument that touches a sample and the officer holding it.

LRY Group was present at the 7th National Forensic Science Symposium for Law Enforcement (NAFSLE) 2026, held on 17 and 18 September at Maktab Polis Diraja Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, under the theme "Forensic: AI Connecting The Dots."
Officially opened by the Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Dato' Seri Hj. Mohd Khalid Hj. Ismail, and organised by the DNA Databank Division (D13) of the Criminal Investigation Department, Bukit Aman, the symposium brought together 300 to 500 participants from the Royal Malaysia Police and invited law enforcement agencies across the country.

The Inspector-General's message was that technology must advance alongside integrity and ethical conduct. In screening and detection, those are the same thing. A result that cannot be defended in court has helped nobody.
