Is your horse coming back into work?
As some of us are bringing our horses back into work after some time off over the holiday season.
Be mindful of muscular aches and pains from them playing in the paddock, muscle loss during their time off and muscular soreness from coming back into work.
It is ideal to have your horse treated on a maintenance level throughout the year to keep on top of any pain or stiffness that can come up with work, rest and coming back into work. Make sure to slowly ease them back into work along with regular treatments.
It is worthwhile palpating your horse to check for any soreness, tightness, check their gait for any stiffness. If you find any of these contact your equine body worker. Also check to see if your saddle is still fitting correctly as their body's are always changing shape (especially over a break period).
Stiffness in their gait and body, poor attiude, not feeling themselves is usually a sign to get them checked out by your equine body worker or vet.
Emmett therapy releases tight painful muscles and can provide instant relief. It is a very effective, gentle and safe muscle release therapy. It is used to release pain and discomfort, adjust posture, improve body movement and restrictions, has a positive effect on behaviour.
