We brought a range of assistive technology suppliers together at our OTSG Solutions Centre to give OT students a chance to explore different AT and meet the people behind the products.

It was great having everyone come along, share what they do and give students a taste of what’s out there beyond the classroom.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make our Curtin Student AT Expo such a great day! 🙌

It was awesome to see so many OT students, staff, suppliers and members of the community come through the OTSG Solutions Centre to explore, try and learn more about assistive technology.

A special thank you to all of the suppliers who brought along their equipment, knowledge and time. Having so many different areas of AT under one roof made it a great opportunity to see what’s out there and get hands-on with the technology and equipment used in the real world.
And of course, thanks to everyone who came along and got involved!

This week, we attended the Curtin AT Expo at Occupational Therapy Services Group's Solutions Centre in Bentley.

It was fantastic to meet so many Curtin occupational therapy students who were passionate about assistive tech, and our team were excited to talk about all things AT, including our Experience Centre and NED. It was also interesting to meet other providers and see some amazing new AT products.

A couple of days talking all things driving!

Chris and Luke recently travelled to Brisbane for the National Vehicle Modifications & Driving Solutions Conference, hosted by Driving Well Occupational Therapy Jenny Gribbin 🚗

As one of the more advanced areas of OT practice, it was a great opportunity to step away from the day to day and spend two days focused on vehicle modifications and driving solutions - working through real case studies, exploring modified vehicles and equipment, and learning alongside OTs and stakeholders from across Australia.

Just as valuable were the conversations in between! Connecting with other Driver Trained OTs, comparing how different processes and systems work across Australia, sharing experiences and consolidating our own learning and practice back here in WA!

A huge thank you to Jenny Gribbin and the Driving Well OT team for putting together such a practical and incredibly well organised event 👏

We love supporting humans like Laura! 💙

Luke has had the privilege of working alongside Laura to support her return to driving goals, and it’s been fantastic to see what she has achieved along the way! Thanks for sharing Laura’s incredible story Insurance Commission of Western Australia - a huge congratulations to Laura!


Just months before graduating as a nurse, Laura’s plans were put on hold by a serious crash. What followed was a long recovery journey that demanded patience, courage and determination.

From relearning everyday skills to raising funds for the organisation that helped save her life, Laura’s story is a powerful reminder of how much can be achieved, one step at a time.

We’re opening the doors! 👋

This Wednesday, OTSG is hosting the Curtin Student AT Expo at our Solutions Centre in Bentley - and we’re opening the event to the wider community from 1:00pm-3:00pm.

With a variety assistive technology suppliers on site, it’s a great opportunity to come through, explore what’s available and get hands on with a wide range of AT.

You’ll be able to see and try equipment including the gantry hoist, mobility equipment, seating, kitchen AT, digital health and communication technology, plus a range of other products and solutions across the centre.

This week we are officially saying a HUGE thank you and farewell to Rourke, who has been a McCusker Centre student working alongside Alanna to tackle the ultimate beast: our governance processes.

Thanks to his hard work, everything is looking much more organised at OT Services Group!

We’re going to miss Rourke, but we wish him the absolute best of luck as he crushes the final stretch of his studies! 💪🤗

Choosing where to begin your OT career can feel like a big decision, which is why honest conversations with people already doing the work and who have navigated the path ahead are so valuable.

Earlier this week, Felicity, Meg, Tash and Terence joined ECU’s fourth year occupational therapy students at their annual Career Expo. They had the opportunity to share what working at OTSG looks like, from the variety of clients and services we support to the opportunities available for graduates beginning their careers.

It was also a chance to hear what matters to this year’s graduating cohort and answer their questions about making the transition from university into practice.

Thank you to Edith Cowan University (ECU) for continuing to create these opportunities for students and community to connect, and to Felicity, Meg, Tash and Terence for volunteering their time!

We look forward to seeing where this next generation of occupational therapists takes the profession!

Last week - our very own Chris had the opportunity to present at Beyond Function’s medico legal conference in Perth.

Chris explored the broader significance of driving in medico legal practice - and why driving is rarely just about driving. It can shape independence, employment, family roles, community participation and lifetime supports.

Presenting to a room filled with such experienced practitioners is always a little intimidating, but it was a genuinely enjoyable day. It was also a great opportunity to connect with others working in the field and hear the insights shared across the fantastic program.

A big thank you to Jayne and the Beyond Function Occupational Therapy Services team for including us in such a fantastic event 🙏
