Thank you to another amazing five week program with the Down Syndrome WA (DSWA) crew ✨⚡️

Over 5 weeks, ACTUP WA ran a theatre workshop designed to build confidence, social skills & self esteem as a part of DSWA’s “Adult Life Skills” Program 🎭

ACTUP IN THE PODCAST STUDIO ✨⚡️🎤

This term, ACTUP WA offered a term program where actors were able to write, create & perform their own podcast!

Topics varied from Samsung, surfing, exercise & guess the song! The actors were even able to ask the ACTUP WA teachers their own questions! ✨

These podcasts are currently being edited & will be available for all very soon… 👀

We have ALREADY finished TWO WEEKS OF ACTUP & here’s an update …

1. All of the actors have nicely settled into our new venue Bay Road Collective & rumour has it they are LOVING IT

2. We have begun rehearsing for our end of year show… safe to say these performances are going to be a hit ⚡️

3. Our Wednesday & Sunday classes are full & our waitlist is growing. Make sure you jump on the waitlist so you can be the first to be added to new classes & spots as they pop up!

We can’t wait to keep Acting- Up with you ❤️❤️

After a whirlwind of School Holiday programs, our actors are getting ready for a MASSIVE Term 3 ✨🔆

Musical theatre, acting, wellbeing programs & Social Saturday’s, we have it all! And… on top of this, all of our actors are getting ready for our end of year performance!

We’ve had SO much fun this term — we honestly can’t believe how fast it’s flown by! 🎉

We ran all of our classes, with THREE now sitting on full waitlists (wow!). We also introduced Social Saturdays, which booked out almost instantly 💛

Now we’re fuelled up and ready to dive into Term 3 & 4 show prep — building towards our big show on the 12th of December! 🎭✨

Thank you to all our amazing kids, parents and support workers for being part of it. See you next term, ActUp fam!

A little Saturday adventure for our ActUp family! 🌊🚂

Our actors hopped on the train into the city, explored the Ocean Experience Museum, did a little gift shop browse, then trained back to Leederville for lunch at Sienna’s — not a bad way to spend a Saturday! 🐠🍽️

These social excursions are one of our favourite parts of what we do, watching our actors connect, explore, and just have a genuinely great time together outside of class is everything ✨

📍 ATWELL (SOR) — 6th to 9th July
✨ Beginner’s Acting — Mon 6 & Tue 7, 10am–11:30am

🎤 30 Sing/ 30 Dance/ 30 Act — Mon 6 & Tue 7, 12pm–2pm

🎬 Make A Play — Wed 8 & Thu 9, 10am–12pm

📍 CLAREMONT — 13th to 16th July
✨ Teen’s Acting (U18) — Mon 13 & Tue 14, 10am–11:30am

🎤 30 Sing/ 30 Dance/ 30 Act (Mixed) — Mon 13 & Tue 14, 12pm–2pm

🎬 Make A Play (Mixed) — Wed 15 & Thu 16, 10am–12pm

Plus — don’t miss our Art Excursion to the city on Friday 10th July! 🎨

All programs are claimable under NDIS Core Supports (Assistance with Social & Community Participation) for plan-managed and self-managed participants.
