Comprehensive Facial Rejuvenation by Dr. Linda Monshizadeh | FRACS | Specialist Plastic Surgeon at Two Months

This patient is shown before surgery and at two months postoperative following:

• Deep plane face and neck lift
• Upper eyelid blepharoplasty with treatment of a right upper eyelid chalazion
• Lower eyelid blepharoplasty
• Facial fat grafting
• Revision of a left upper lip scar

The upper eyelid blepharoplasty addressed excess upper eyelid skin and in combination with the lateral brow lift reduces the need for compensatory brow elevation and contributes to a more rested appearance around the eyes.

The lower eyelid blepharoplasty reduced prominent fat pads. Together with elevation and support of the midface, this created a smoother transition between the lower eyelid and cheek.

Repositioning the deeper facial tissues restored support to the midface, jawline and neck, creating more balanced facial proportions. Targeted fat grafting addressed selective volume loss, while the skin was redraped over a supported foundation rather than tightened under tension.

The aim was meaningful facial rejuvenation while preserving the patient’s recognisable features, natural proportions and individual character. At two months, this remains an early postoperative result. Swelling, scar maturation and soft tissue settling will continue to evolve over time.

At Artunis Medical Group, each facial rejuvenation plan is individually designed according to the patient’s anatomy, goals, health and recovery considerations.

Reflections on surgery, service and purpose

I am honoured to be serving as Lead Surgeon with Operation Smile Australia on an upcoming craniofacial mission.

Craniofacial surgery is complex and deeply human. It supports children and young adults whose conditions may affect breathing, eating, speech, hearing, confidence and daily life.

Over the years, I have been privileged to contribute to overseas missions through Operation Rainbow and now Operation Smile Australia’s craniomaxillofacial reconstruction program.

For me, this is where I feel truly in my element.

These missions are not only about surgery. They are about working alongside local teams, sharing knowledge, supporting training and helping build long term access to safe specialist care in resource limited regions.

In the years ahead, my focus will continue to centre on reconstructive craniofacial plastic surgery in our public hospitals, humanitarian missions and surgical education.

I will continue to maintain my private practice in Perth at Artunis Medical Group, including aesthetic and reconstructive facial surgery. My private consultation and operating lists will be more carefully structured at certain times of the year as I balance this work with public hospital craniofacial reconstruction, Operation Smile Australia, Operation Rainbow and other commitments.

This is not a step away from private practice. It is a more intentional way of practising.

To my private patients, please be reassured that Artunis remains an important part of my work. There may simply be fewer available appointments during periods of hospital work, teaching or humanitarian missions.

Learning from the past.
Serving in the present.
Helping build a future where more children, families and communities can access specialist care.

Meet FRACS, an Australian Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in craniofacial surgery.

At Artunis Medical Group, Dr Monshizadeh focuses on aesthetic and reconstructive facial surgery, with a dedicated focus on deep plane facelift surgery and facial rejuvenation.

Her work is shaped by a distinctive combination of reconstructive discipline, craniofacial expertise and a refined understanding of facial harmony. With experience in complex facial surgery, she brings careful attention to anatomy, proportion, soft tissue support and natural balance.

Facial rejuvenation is approached with restraint, precision and respect for the individual. Each consultation considers facial structure, ageing patterns, skin quality, personal goals and surgical safety, with the aim of helping patients look refreshed, balanced and still like themselves.

Beyond private practice, Dr Monshizadeh holds consultant appointments at Perth Children’s Hospital and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, where her work includes complex craniofacial trauma, craniosynostosis and head and neck reconstruction.

Her training includes Honours in Medicine from the University of Western Australia, specialist Fellowship through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, craniofacial surgery training at the Australian Craniofacial Unit in Adelaide and Westmead Children’s Hospital in Sydney, and a Master’s in Craniofacial Surgery from Macquarie University.

Her contribution extends beyond the operating theatre. Through registrar education, mentoring and international reconstructive programs, she continues to support surgical training and care in Australia and abroad.

Just finished the Kokoda Track.

120 km, more than 6000 m of ascent, across 8 days during ANZAC week, through some of the most rugged jungle on earth.

It was a privilege to walk this historic track with alongside, and in support of, our SASR veterans and

Kokoda is not just a physical challenge. It is a place that strips everything back. It gives you time to reflect on the past, honour those who came before us, and prepare for the future with a clearer mind and a stronger sense of purpose.

A week of mateship, endurance, sacrifice, humility and perspective.

I stand proud in support of all our veterans past present and future.

Lest We Forget.
