From gold coin donations to team fundraising activities, we're proud to be joining colleagues across the Aurora network to raise awareness, encourage important conversations, and support initiatives that help connect people with support earlier.

Today at Abbotsford Private Hospital, a splash of yellow brightened our hospital as we came together to recognise R U OK? Day.

Over morning tea, our team took the opportunity to connect, check in and have conversations that don't always happen in the rush of a busy day. It was a simple reminder of how important it is to pause and genuinely ask the people around us how they're doing.

While R U OK? Day encourages us to start the conversation, the real impact comes from continuing those conversations throughout the year. A quick check-in, a listening ear, or simply letting someone know you're there can make a meaningful difference.

At Abbotsford Private Hospital, we are delighted to see Aurora Healthcare Australia championing resources that encourage honest discussions about mental health, addiction, recovery and wellbeing.

The first episode of Why Do I Feel This Way? ? is a powerful example. Through their candid conversation, Kate and Claudia explore the realities of recovery, self-awareness and asking for help when life becomes overwhelming.

What resonated most with us is the reminder that recovery is not about perfection. It is about persistence, insight and having the courage to reach out for support when you need it.

By sharing their experiences so openly, Kate and Claudia are helping to normalise conversations that many people often struggle to have, offering reassurance, understanding and hope to others facing similar challenges.
