Who decided a good mum has to be exhausted?

Somewhere along the way, we started treating overwhelm like proof that we're doing motherhood properly.

But being tired doesn't make you a better mum.
Doing everything doesn't make you a better mum.
And needing help certainly doesn't make you less capable.

Maybe it's time to question a few of the rules we've simply inherited.

Save this for the days you need the reminder.

Essential oils aren't magic - and I actually think that's important to say.

I love essential oils, but I don’t believe we need to make big promises about them to appreciate what they can offer.

Sometimes, they're simply part of a ritual that helps us pause, breathe, settle or reconnect with ourselves.

And sometimes, we need something beyond an oil - whether that's rest, support, or proper medical care.

There's freedom in not needing one thing to do everything.

Less hype. More understanding. More intention.

Save this for the next time you see a big claim about an essential oil.

POV: You decided to live a healthier lifestyle… and suddenly everything has an ingredient list.

The cleaning products.
The skincare.
The food.
The candles.
The things your kids use.
The snacks.

And somewhere along the way, taking care of yourself starts feeling like another job.

I've been there.

Wellness doesn't have to mean constantly researching, replacing and worrying.

Sometimes it's simply making one better-informed choice and then getting on with your day.

Because you have a life to live too.

There's a rule I generally live by when it comes to reading ingredients lists; "the less ingredients there are, the better it may be for you"

Fewer ingredients = less processed.

Need some more tips reading labels and ingredient lists?

To the mums feeling like they're rocking it today and the ones feeling completely rocked by it..

I see you.

Some days, motherhood feels beautiful and manageable. Other days, you’re simply getting through the next hour.

Both are okay.

You don't have to have it all together to be a good mum. You're learning, adapting, loving, and showing up in the best way you can and that matters more than you realise.

You're doing better than you think.

If you needed this reminder today, save it for the harder days and send it to a mama who might need to hear it too.

Becoming a mum can make you question things you never thought you'd give second thought to.

What habits do I want to keep?
What inherited patterns do I want to change?
What do I want my child to remember about growing up with me?

You don't need all the answers straight away.

Sometimes asking better questions is where it begins.

What's one thing you want to do differently?

If you've been feeling overwhelmed, stressed, overworked, or like you're constantly stuck in survival mode, this is for you.

We're often told to “take a deep breath” when we're stressed.

But what if the part of your breath that needs more attention is actually your exhale?

A longer, slower exhale can help signal to your nervous system that it’s safe to begin slowing down.

✨ Try this simple practice:

Breathe in slowly through your nose for 4 counts.

Then exhale gently through your mouth for 8 counts.

Repeat for a few rounds and notice how your body feels.

You don’t always need to do more to feel better.

Sometimes, you simply need to pause, breathe, and allow your body to soften.

As a yoga teacher, this is one of my favourite practices to come back to when life feels like too much.

Save this Reel for the next time you're feeling overwhelmed, and send it to someone who might need a reminder to slow down today.

I’m not trying to make my home “perfect” - I’m just trying to make better choices, one small swap at a time.

A fragrance-free product here.
A kitchen swap there.
Choosing something simpler when it’s time to restock.

No throwing everything away. No chasing perfection.

Just becoming a little more curious about what I bring into my home and put on my skin.

Small swaps. More mindful choices. That’s enough.

Save this for your next home or beauty restock.
What’s one swap you’ve been thinking about making?

Some mums need more than to hear, “You’re not alone.”

Yes, you’re not alone.

Yes, motherhood can be incredibly hard.

Yes, some seasons genuinely are about getting through one day at a time.

But sometimes, when a mum says, “I don't feel like myself anymore,” I think she deserves more than, “That’s just motherhood.”

She deserves to be heard.

She deserves to be supported.

And she deserves to believe that struggling right now doesn't mean this is who she'll be forever.

There is nothing wrong with finding motherhood difficult. There is nothing wrong with feeling overwhelmed, exhausted or disconnected from yourself. And some experiences - physical, emotional and mental - need real support and care.

But I also believe this:

You can acknowledge how hard things are without giving up on the possibility that they can feel different.

You can love your children deeply and still miss yourself.

You can be grateful for your life and still want more joy in it.

You can be struggling today and still take small steps towards feeling more like yourself tomorrow.

You don't have to wait for your children to grow up before you give yourself permission to matter again.

So if you've been telling yourself, “Maybe this is just who I am now,” let this be a gentle reminder from someone who believes in you:

Maybe you're not meant to go back to who you were. Maybe you're allowed to grow into someone new - without losing yourself along the way.

And if you need a safe space to talk through the parts of motherhood that feel heavy, you don't have to have all the right words. Sometimes, having someone listen is where things begin.

I’m opening two 1:1 coaching spots for September for mums who are ready to reconnect with themselves and feel a little more grounded in their motherhood.

If you’re reading this thinking, “This is exactly where I am right now,” send me a DM. There’s no pressure and no need to have it all figured out. We can simply start with a conversation.

What is one thing you wish felt a little lighter in your life right now?
