The colder months can sometimes create a disconnect from our bodies and minds

With the new season of Spring upon us, it's the perfect opportunity to come back — and reconnect. Not by forcing a fix or drastic change, but by giving your body — and your mind — a little bit of attention again.

That's the idea behind our New Season Reflection: a handful of simple prompts to sit with before you head into a session (or honestly, any time). No checklists, no right answers. Just taking a moment to notice what you want more of, what you're ready to let go of, and how your body's been feeling lately.

DM or comment "SPRING" and we'll send it through 🩵

Our food does so much more than effect our energy or our waistlines. The gut lining turns over and rebuilds itself every few days, using whatever raw materials are on hand. Let’s swipe through some of the best bricks you can use to help.

Bone broth for structure. Ginger to keep things moving. Kefir for the microbes that do a lot of the heavy lifting.

Swipe through for the wholefoods worth having in the rotation and how they fit alongside colonics as part of the bigger picture

Cooking a potato is easy (and delicious). Cooling it properly is where the interesting stuff happens 🥔

When potatoes are cooked and then cooled, some of their starch changes structure and becomes resistant starch. When it passes through the small intestine intact and travels down to the large intestine, it becomes fuel for your gut bacteria. That fermentation process produces butyrate, a short-chain fatty acid that plays a role in maintaining the gut lining.

The trick is time in the fridge — at least four hours, ideally overnight — before dressing and serving it cold. And the resistant starch doesn't disappear if you warm it gently the next day, so leftovers count too. And potato salad is always better the next day, let's be real!

One small, tasty way to support processes your gut is already running. Colonics are be a complementary part of that picture too, if you're curious where it might fit — Lucy's always happy to chat it through.

We get it. It's easy to start a change and then quickly feel discouraged when we don't feel different straight away. But most of what's happening ,is happening quietly and slowly behind the scenes if you give it a chance to.

Hydration, fibre, sleep, movement — none of these work like a switch turning on and off. Your body adjusts gradually, and the timeframes in these slides are general patterns, not guarantees — everyone's body has it's own pace so be gentle with yourself if things are taking longer than expected.

What actually moves things forward isn't doing it perfectly. It's doing it consistently, even through the weeks when it doesn't feel like anything's changing. Trust that it is 🤍

Regular colonics do more than a single session ever can which is why working towards a rhythm with your appointments, will give you the best long term wellbeing benefits.

Here's what a consistent colonic practice can do for you and your health, overtime.

We're not here to overpromise — a colonic isn't a cure for everything. But paired with the right rhythm, it can take real pressure off a body that needs support. That's what we work through with you, colonic by colonic, in your sessions with Lucy.

Gut health isn't only something that women struggle with…
Thank you to this client for sharing his experience with us. So many men put off looking after their health and wellbeing for longer than they need to, because caring for your body through treatments like colonics still carry this idea that it's "just for women." it isn't — the same bloating, gut issues, discomfort that bring women into clinic show up in men too, and the gravity method works the same way for everybody

If you’re a bloke and you’re reading this, maybe this is your sign to put yourself first and come see us in the clinic. Our approach is calm, thorough and completely judgement-free, whoever is on the table.

The science behind how we should see nature as medicine is stronger than most people realise.

Time in green space (forests, parks, gardens) is linked to lower blood pressure, lower cortisol, and a genuine drop in stress hormones — not just a nicer mood, but measurable shifts in the body. Even the immune system responds, with natural killer cell activity lifting by around 50% after a few days spending time outdoors.

Water does something similar. Being near it — not even in it — activates the parasympathetic nervous system, the one responsible for rest and repair.

None of this replaces the work we do with you in the clinic. But nervous system support doesn't start and end at a session — it's built in the small, moments too. A walk through the trees, staring at the sea, watching the clouds.

Save this one for the next time you need permission to step outside.
