It’s not every day that you make not one, but TWO Dockers-themed cakes. 💜🤍
But this wasn’t really about the cakes.
It was about the excitement, the planning, the little details, and seeing my son’s face light up when everything came together.
I definitely questioned my decision somewhere along the way… because apparently making one cake wasn’t enough. 😂 But seeing how happy he was made every minute of it worth it.
There’s something pretty special about creating these little moments for our kids. They might not remember every gift they received or every detail of their birthday, but hopefully they remember how they felt.
And the best part of the whole day?
When my son looked at me and said, “I’ll never forget this day.”
Honestly, that’s all I needed to hear. 🤍
Two cakes, a very happy boy, and a memory I hope we’ll all carry for a long time. 💜🤍
And I think this is one of the reasons I’ve always felt so drawn to supporting families.
So much of family life is made up of these little moments — the ordinary ones, the exhausting ones, the beautiful ones, and the ones we know we’ll remember forever.
That’s a big part of what I want Nurtured Bub to be about too: creating a space where you can feel supported, cared for and nurtured through pregnancy, postpartum and beyond.
Because sometimes, when you’re in the middle of the chaos, you just need someone to help make things a little easier. 🤍
