Concorde Aged Care Home celebrated Philippine Independence Day last week with a vibrant afternoon filled with culture, music, dance and delicious food 🇵🇭

Staff proudly performing traditional Filipino dances that brought lots of energy and colour to the celebration.

Adding to the multicultural spirit of the day, staff also performed a traditional Bhutanese dance performance and interpretive dance, as well as a resident performing a song with his guitar!

A variety of traditional dishes were prepared and shared, allowing everyone to experience the flavours and hospitality that are such an important part of Filipino culture.

The celebration was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the diverse cultures that make our community so special.

Villa Dalmacia came together last Friday to celebrate Philippines Independence Day!

Filipino staff created a truly special experience, sharing their culture, traditions and national pride through beautiful singing and energetic dancing. 🎶💃

Residents enjoyed a delicious spread of traditional Filipino food and loved being immersed in the festivities.

Introducing Leaf Blower Therapy @ Kensington Park 🍂

Have you heard of "leaf blower therapy" at Kensington?

WHO KNEW a simple household chore has turned into a surprisingly great moment for our Kensington residents!

Blowing dry leaves around outdoor garden yard got everyone engaged - watching them scatter, while enjoying the movement and sound, surprisingly it was quite therapeutic.

Yesterday at Kensington Park, residents and staff came together for a very special joint celebration marking Philippines Independence Day alongside OT May’s baby shower.

Our Filipino team members, including DON Cecile, shared their culture with residents through traditional dress, music, dance and delicious cuisine, bringing plenty of colour, joy and energy to the day.

We also celebrated OT May as she was showered with love from residents and staff, along with thoughtful gifts and a beautiful baby shower hamper prepared by the home. A very special surprise… it’s a baby boy! 💙 Wishing her all the best as she prepares for her new arrival in early July.

Getting creative with Bunnings @ Villa Dalmacia 💜

Our Villa D residents enjoyed a fantastic Bunnings workshop decorating their own tote shopping bags with colourful and creative designs.

It was a fun, hands-on session full of creativity and laughter, with everyone proudly showcasing their unique bags.

Even better, residents have already been using their handmade bags on recent outings!

TBT - Celebrating our beautiful Mums @ Hamersley 💜

For Mother's Day in May, we celebrated a little earlier, turning our weekly Ladies Group into a beautiful high tea, to celebrate all the amazing ladies we have here at Hamersley.

Whether they are Mum, Aunty, Sister, they all deserved to be showered in LOVE!

Our Villa Dalmacia team recently celebrated a staff cultural day by sharing the rich traditions and heritage of Bhutan with residents and colleagues.

From traditional songs and dances to delicious Bhutanese cuisine and colourful national dress, the day was filled with joy and learning. Residents and staff also enjoyed dressing up in traditional attire and capturing special memories together at the photo booth.

Thank you to our Bhutanese team members for bringing a beautiful piece of home to Villa Dalmacia and for sharing the values of respect, gratitude and togetherness that are at the heart of Bhutanese culture. 💙
