As National Reconciliation Week comes to an end tomorrow, we’re reflecting on this year’s theme: All In.
A reminder that reconciliation is not a spectator sport. It’s something we all have a role in, every day. A commitment to listening, learning, truth-telling and walking forward together.
At The Village, reconciliation means recognising that community, connection and collective care have always existed. For tens of thousands of years, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have raised children within strong networks of family, culture and community.
The village is not a new concept - it has always existed.
As a women’s wellness centre, we honour that wisdom by creating a space where women feel supported, connected and cared for through pregnancy, birth, motherhood and beyond.
Because reconciliation is more than a week.
It’s something we choose to be all in for.
🖤💛❤️
