✨ Building skills, confidence, and connection through everyday activities ✨
Bill recently enjoyed a game of Scrabble with his support worker, sharing plenty of laughs while putting his vocabulary and problem solving skills to the test.
At I Help Disability Services, we believe that meaningful activities can support much more than just having fun. Games like Scrabble provide valuable opportunities for capacity building by encouraging communication, concentration, memory, decision making, and problem solving skills. These everyday experiences can help participants maintain and develop important life skills that support greater independence.
Just as importantly, spending quality time with a support worker promotes companionship and social connection. Building positive relationships and engaging in enjoyable activities can help participants feel connected, supported, and confident in their daily lives.
We take a participant led approach to every activity, ensuring experiences align with each person's interests, preferences, abilities, and NDIS goals. Whether it's a board game, community outing, or favourite hobby, our focus is on creating meaningful opportunities for growth, independence, and wellbeing.
