Ive been a bit quiet on here the last week, but there is a reason why!
Iāve gone back to university.
My first degree was in clinical nutrition, and itās the reason Telluric Health exists. It taught me how the body works, how the body metabolises nutrients, how to read what a blood test, how to be a practitioner and so much more.
Now Iām working through a second degree in naturopathy, and last week I was in the dispensary in Brisbane making chilli ointment, straining elderberry decoction through muslin and hand-rolling herbal pastilles until my gloves were stained.
Herbal medicine sits alongside what I already do, it doesnāt replace it. There are plants with genuine research behind them to support, help and heal the issues I see in my clients week to week.
I didnāt go back because nutrition wasnāt enough. I went back because the women I work with deserve a practitioner with more than one way in, and because Iād rather study this properly than pick herbs up from a weekend course and call it a qualification.
So there are assignments, exams, practicals interstate, and a small people at home who do not care that I have a case study due. Hard, and worth every bit of it.
Iām creating a bunch more content around zinc, progesterone and histamine the week so following along for the answers to the questions a lot of you have been asking.
