๐Ÿ˜… We know this is the face some people make when we ask:
"Can you please complete your hAPI Survey?" ๐Ÿ˜‚

But your feedback really matters! ๐Ÿ’š

Not only does it help us improve our services for young people, it also helps your clinician track how you're going and make sure you're getting the right support.
So next time you're asked to complete a hAPI Survey, please take a few minutes to share your thoughts. It makes a bigger difference than you might think.

Drop a ๐Ÿ˜… below if you've ever felt a little like Mr Bean!

Todayโ€™s pushโ€‘up target is 170, representing the one in seven schoolโ€‘aged students who experience a mental illness each year.
A reminder that mental health matters from a young age, not just in adulthood. Mental health challenges during childhood and adolescence can affect learning, friendships, and everyday functioning. When young people are struggling, it can impact confidence, engagement at school, and emotional development.
These formative years shape longโ€‘term mental wellbeing, which is why early awareness and support are so important. Anxiety, depression, and behavioural conditions are among the most common challenges for young people. When left unaddressed, these experiences can have lasting effects on wellbeing.
Building understanding, reducing stigma, and making space for open conversations helps young Australians feel supported and more confident accessing help when they need it. Supporting young people starts with listening without judgement and keeping communication open.
Encouraging connection, regular movement, and healthy coping strategies can support mental wellbeing. Seeking help early can reduce both the impact and duration of challenges, and can make a meaningful difference over time.
If you are looking for support, help is available for children, young people, and families. headspace offers online and phone support for people aged 12 to 25 on 1800 650 890. Kids Helpline provides telephone and online counselling for people aged 5 to 25 via 1800 55 1800 Lifeline offers phone, text, and chat support for anyone experiencing a personal crisis on 13 11 14. Parentline is also available in each state and territory for counselling and support for parents and carers.
Face-to-face is also available at headspace Whitsundays 074842 6760
