The Healing Pathway embraces the broader journey of healing, teaching and guidance. My name is Susan, welcome to my page and healing space. I am a Reiki Therapist, Psychic Medium and Traditional Astrologer offering a soft, soul-aligned healing and guidance. I have been on my spiritual healing journey for many years and feel so blessed to have been taught, coached and mentored by amazing and supportive people which has led me to where I am today. The Healing Touch is a place that cares for the wellbeing of women and offers an environment that will calm the mind, relax the body and nurture the soul. My sessions are grounded in intuition, energy work and with the knowledge of the cosmos. Although the Moon itself doesn't change shape, the amount of its sunlit surface that we see from Earth changes as the Moon travels around us. This creates the familiar cycle of lunar phases, taking approximately 29.5 days to complete.
In astronomy, these phases are a beautiful result of the relationship between the Earth, Moon and Sun. In astrology, we also look to the lunar cycle symbolically, using its changing light as a way to reflect on the different stages of our own lives.

Tomorrow, we experience a Full Moon in Ta**us, one of particular interest in traditional astrology because the Moon is exalted in Ta**us. Exaltation is a traditional astrological dignity, describing a sign in which a planet is considered especially well placed to express its qualities. The Moon in Ta**us is associated with steadiness, nourishment, comfort and a desire for emotional security.

Ta**us is an earth sign, bringing our attention to the tangible things that support us: our bodies, our homes, our relationships with the natural world, our values and the simple pleasures that help us feel grounded. This Full Moon invites us to consider what truly nourishes us.

🌕 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐍 𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐏𝐈𝐎 𝐎𝐏𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐎𝐍 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐔𝐒
Every Full Moon occurs when the Sun and Moon stand opposite one another in the zodiac. With the Sun now in Scorpio and the Moon in Ta**us, we have two very different energies meeting across the zodiac. Ta**us encourages us to find stability, appreciate what we have and feel secure in the present moment. Scorpio, a water sign, invites us to look beneath the surface, explore our deeper emotional truths and recognise where transformation may be needed. This creates an interesting conversation between holding on and letting go, security and change, comfort and transformation.

Sometimes we need the familiar and dependable. At other times, we recognise that something must change for us to grow. The invitation is not necessarily to choose one over the other, but to find a balance between creating a life that feels grounded and being willing to explore what lies beneath the surface. Perhaps this Full Moon is an opportunity to ask ourselves whether what once made us feel secure still supports the person we are becoming.

🌙 𝐀 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄
As a Cancer Rising, the Moon has a particularly important place in my own birth chart. In traditional astrology, the ruling planet of your Ascendant is known as your chart ruler and for Cancer Rising, that planet is the Moon. This makes the Moon's journey through the zodiac especially interesting to me as I observe the changing lunar phases and the different signs it travels through. I often find myself drawn to the Moon's symbolism as a reminder that we move through different seasons within ourselves, too. There are times when we feel ready to grow and expand and other times when we need to retreat, reflect and nurture ourselves.

With this Full Moon in Ta**us, I am reflecting on the importance of grounding, slowing down and recognising the things that offer genuine nourishment, both physically and emotionally. Perhaps there is something in that for all of us.

✨ 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 | 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝘂𝗿𝘂𝘀 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻 — 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗺𝗶𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🌕♉
As we move through this week towards 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗶𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻, my attention turns to the Full Moon in Ta**us on Monday, 26th October, at approximately 2° Ta**us. Although we haven't officially entered 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗶𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 just yet, we have already had a preview of its energy. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗻'𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻 are in Scorpio, inviting us to explore some of Scorpio's deeper themes — endings and rebirth, power and control, trust and vulnerability. There can be an emotional intensity to our experiences as we begin looking beneath the surface.

But before we move fully into Scorpio, there is still some unfinished business with Libra. Venus, Libra's ruling planet, is retrograde, asking us to reflect on what we value, the relationships we nurture and the connections that are important to us. Venus has also been in a challenging square with Pluto, the second in a series of three, bringing an opportunity to look more deeply at our values and recognise where we may have blind spots around power, control or what we are holding onto.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗻'𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻 adds another layer of emotional sensitivity, potentially bringing old wounds or tender places to the surface. While this can feel uncomfortable, it may also offer an opportunity to acknowledge something that has needed our attention for a long time. As the Sun moves into Scorpio on Friday, Venus will retrograde back into Libra, while Mercury is also turning retrograde in Scorpio. There is a sense that we are not quite finished with some of the things we have been exploring. Venus remains retrograde until 13th November, giving us further time to reconsider our relationships, connections and what truly matters to us.

🌕 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝘂𝗿𝘂𝘀 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻 — 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻
A Full Moon always brings the Sun and Moon into opposition, illuminating the tension between two different energies and inviting us to find a balance. This time, we have grounded earthy Moon in Ta**us meeting the deep, reflective and transformative Sun in Scorpio.

𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲, we are in the heart of spring — a season of growth, fertility and physical emergence. Ta**us connects us with the earth, our bodies and the simple, tangible experiences that help us feel grounded and secure. It reminds us to slow down, spend time in nature and appreciate what is already here. The Scorpio Sun, however, draws our attention to the deeper emotional currents of life. It invites us to look beyond appearances, explore our motivations and recognise what may need to change or transform.

We could think of this as the steady Bull meeting the Scorpion, with the Eagle offering another expression of Scorpio's ability to rise above the surface and see things from a different perspective.
🐂 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗹 — 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝘂𝗿𝘂𝘀
Ta**us seeks stability, comfort, peace and security. It asks us to pay attention to what is tangible and reliable in our lives. What makes us feel safe? What nourishes us? Where do we find comfort in our bodies, our surroundings and the resources we have available to us?
🦂 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗲 — 𝗦𝘂𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗶𝗼
Scorpio takes us beneath the surface, into our emotional depths, our hidden motivations and the parts of ourselves we may not always feel comfortable acknowledging. It asks us to be honest about what we are holding onto, where we may be giving away our power and what needs to be released so that something new can emerge.
✨ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
This Full Moon brings these two needs into focus: our desire for security and our need for transformation. Sometimes we hold onto what is familiar because it feels safe, even when we know something needs to change. At other times, we can become so caught up in the emotional complexity of a situation that we forget the importance of returning to the simple things that sustain us. Perhaps the invitation is to recognise where we need to let go, and where we simply need to slow down, breathe and reconnect with ourselves. We don't always need to have every answer. Sometimes, grounding ourselves in the present gives us the space to understand what comes next.
🌿 𝗠𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
In my own chart, this Full Moon activates my 5th and 11th house axis, where I have my North Node in Scorpio in the 5th house and my South Node in Ta**us in the 11th house. With the Full Moon at almost the exact degree of my nodal axis, this is a particularly meaningful lunation for me to reflect upon.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗶𝗼 𝗦𝘂𝗻 shines a light on my North Node, bringing my attention to the themes of creativity, personal joy, passion and the courage to express more of who I am. With Mercury turning retrograde in Scorpio, it feels like a time for deeper introspection — revisiting what I truly desire on a soul level and considering where I want to direct my creative energy.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝘂𝗿𝘂𝘀 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻, meanwhile, illuminates my 11th house of friendships, community, networks and long-term hopes. The South Node in Ta**us invites me to reflect on where I might be holding onto familiarity or seeking comfort in what is already established, rather than allowing myself to explore something deeper or more personally meaningful.

For me, this brings up questions about how I share what I do, the connections I nurture and the direction I want to take moving forward.
Am I allowing myself to follow what genuinely inspires me? Am I making room for creativity, passion and deeper soul expression, even when the path isn't entirely clear?
These are the kinds of questions I will be sitting with under this Full Moon.
💫 𝗔 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸:
🌕 Where in my life am I seeking security or comfort, and is it genuinely supporting me?
🌕 What might I be holding onto simply because it is familiar?
🌕 Is there something deeper within me that is asking for expression, change or transformation?
🌕 How can I honour both my need for stability and my desire to grow?
As we move through this emotionally rich period, perhaps we can allow ourselves to sit with these questions without feeling the need to rush towards an answer. Sometimes the greatest shifts begin when we become willing to look honestly at where we are, reconnect with what matters and give ourselves permission to grow.

Have you ever wondered what it actually feels like to receive Reiki? Perhaps you have been curious about Reiki but aren't quite sure what to expect. One of the things I love about Reiki is that everyone's experience is different and there is no right or wrong way to receive it.

As you settle into your session, you may begin to notice your body relaxing and your mind becoming quieter. You might experience warmth or coolness, tingling, gentle pulsing sensations, or a feeling of heaviness or lightness in your body. Some people notice emotions gently coming to the surface, while others experience a deep sense of peace and stillness. You may even find yourself drifting off to sleep — something that happens when a client becomes deeply relaxed and is always lovely to see.

And here's something you might not expect! You may hear your stomach gurgling or notice your digestion making a little noise. This can happen when you are resting quietly and your body becomes more relaxed - it's nothing to feel embarrassed about. Just allow your body to do what it does.“I arrived feeling a little fragile from recent life experiences. Susan worked her amazing magic and I left experiencing a new sense of peace ready to meet the next days challenge.”

You might experience some of these sensations, something entirely different, or simply enjoy a peaceful rest. You don't need to feel anything in particular for your session to be worthwhile. Sometimes, the most beautiful way to understand Reiki is to hear from someone who has experienced it. 💗

These words mean so much to me. They remind me how important it is to have a space where we can slow down, feel supported and give ourselves permission to simply be.

✨ 𝘼𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 — 𝙒𝙚𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙮 14𝙩𝙝 𝙊𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙧
The past few days have brought us into some rather interesting territory astrologically, particularly around our relationships, emotions and the things we may have been trying to avoid looking at too closely.

With the 𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙖 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙣 behind us, we have begun a new lunar cycle that invites us to consider balance, fairness and the relationships we have with others. But with 𝙑𝙚𝙣𝙪𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙎𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙥𝙞𝙤, this isn't simply about keeping the peace or making everything look harmonious on the surface. It's about emotional honesty, vulnerability and recognising what we truly value.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙥𝙞𝙤 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙣 over the past couple of days may have stirred up old memories, unresolved feelings or conversations that have been sitting beneath the surface. Perhaps something from the past has resurfaced, or you have found yourself questioning why a particular situation still affects you. Sometimes we become so caught up in wanting to be understood, acknowledged or proven right that we lose sight of what we actually need. Not every disagreement needs to be resolved and not every situation deserves our continued energy. There is a difference between speaking our truth and reacting from an old wound.

𝙏𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮, 𝙒𝙚𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙮, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙎𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙪𝙨, bringing a shift in perspective. Sagittarius encourages us to look beyond our immediate circumstances, explore new possibilities and seek a deeper understanding of our experiences. With supportive connections to Neptune and Mars, there is potential for inspiration, creativity and renewed enthusiasm. We may feel drawn to explore an idea, begin something new or look towards a future that feels more aligned with who we are becoming.

However, the Moon's opposition to Uranus reminds us that new information or a different perspective can challenge what we have always believed, and perhaps that's a good thing. We don't have to abandon our beliefs simply because someone sees things differently. Equally, we don't need to defend every belief as though our identity depends upon it.

✨ 𝘼 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙚…
As I often say, astrology isn't just something I study; it's something I live with and reflect upon in my own soul journey. Venus retrograde in Scorpio has been particularly interesting for me, given the way she connects with my chart this year. Natal Venus sits in my 8th house in Aquarius and as the exalted ruler of my Pisces Sun, she holds an important place in my chart. Pisces is my 1st house for my perfected year in 2026, bringing the focus back to me, my own journey and the person I am becoming.

With Venus currently retrograde in Scorpio, she is moving through my perfected 9th house — the house of spirituality, beliefs and the search for deeper meaning. She also rules Libra, which is my perfected 8th house and my perfected month for October. So, there is quite a lot happening through these 8th and 9th house themes, alongside the areas of my natal chart being activated in my 4th and 5th houses.

On a personal level, I have found myself revisiting a lot of things, reflecting on what has shaped me, what I believe and what feels right for the next chapter of my life. This reflection has also extended into my business and the direction I want Soul Journey to take.

As Pluto prepares to turn direct in Aquarius, we're also reminded that deeper transformation often begins with recognising something about ourselves that we may not have been ready to see. Change isn't always comfortable, but it can be an invitation to reclaim our power and choose a different way forward.

Sometimes astrology doesn't hand us an immediate answer. Instead, it gives us a language through which we can better understand what we are experiencing and the questions that are coming up for us. Perhaps that is what this Venus retrograde is offering me — an opportunity to look again, reconsider and reconnect with what truly holds value for me, both personally and through the work I share with others.

As I always remind myself, growth isn't necessarily about becoming someone new. Sometimes it's about coming home to the parts of ourselves we may have lost sight of along the way. 💗

🌿 Am I responding to what is happening now, or reacting to something from my past?
🌿 Where might I benefit from being more curious and open to another perspective?
🌿 What am I ready to release, and what am I willing to do differently moving forward?

Our experiences don't always give us immediate answers. Sometimes they simply invite us to ask better questions. And perhaps that is where wisdom begins — not in having all the answers, but in remaining open to what life is still teaching us.

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 — 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐦 𝐈 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠?
When you come for a Reiki session, you may be lying comfortably with your eyes closed, listening to the music and allowing yourself to relax. But what is happening from my side of the treatment?

Today, I thought I would share a little about my own experience as a Reiki practitioner, including the physical and intuitive sides of my work.

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐈 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐢, 𝐈 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥, 𝐈 𝐬𝐞𝐞, 𝐈 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫… 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐈 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 ✨
For me, working with Reiki is about more than placing my hands on or above the body. As I scan the body and offer healing, I remain present and attentive, allowing myself to notice sensations, impressions and intuitive guidance that may arise.

🌿 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐥
Sometimes I experience physical sensations in my own body that draw my attention to a similar area on the person receiving Reiki. I may feel warmth or heat in my hands, tingling, buzzing or pins and needles. At other times, I notice coolness, pulsing or throbbing, particularly when working around areas of tension. Occasionally, I experience a feeling of heaviness or resistance, almost like the push and pull you feel when bringing two magnets together.

These are some of the ways I experience energy during a session. They may guide me to stay a little longer in an area, change my hand position or simply give myself time to notice what is happening.

🌿 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐒𝐞𝐞
Even when my physical eyes are closed, I may receive impressions through my mind's eye. These can be colours, images, scenes or symbols that arise intuitively while I am working with Reiki. Sometimes I feel an impression may relate to something the person is experiencing emotionally or physically. At other times, I simply acknowledge what comes through without needing to interpret it or decide what it means. I have learnt that I don't need to make sense of everything in the moment. Sometimes it is enough to remain open and curious.

🌿 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫
At times, I receive words, phrases or guidance through my inner voice. This isn't hearing an external voice, but rather an intuitive experience — a thought, phrase or sense of guidance that seems to come to me while I am working. Sometimes the words offer something to reflect upon; other times, there is nothing in particular to share. I allow the experience to unfold without trying to force it.

🌿 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰
This is perhaps the hardest part to explain. Sometimes I have an intuitive knowing without feeling a physical sensation, seeing an image or hearing a word. I may simply feel drawn to a particular area, have a sense that I need to pause, or know intuitively that I should change position or give something more time. There isn't always a clear explanation for this knowing. Over time, I have learnt to become more comfortable with these experiences while continuing to develop my awareness and discernment.

🌿 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐢
Alongside my own physical and intuitive experiences, I also pay attention to the person's bodily cues. A sigh, a change in breathing, a stomach gurgle or a gentle twitch or movement may occur during a session. These can accompany relaxation and changes in the body's state, although everyone's experience is different. There is something else that I find particularly satisfying as a practitioner — when someone drifts off to sleep. 🤍

There is something beautiful about seeing a person relax so deeply that they let go of the need to stay awake or be aware of what is happening around them. For me, it is a lovely indication that they feel comfortable enough to surrender to the moment and simply rest. While falling asleep doesn't necessarily mean that someone is receiving more healing than a person who remains awake, it can be a beautiful part of their experience — allowing them to switch off from the busyness of everyday life and receive Reiki without needing to do anything at all.

Some people remain aware throughout their session, others drift in and out of sleep and some fall into a deep, peaceful rest. There is no right or wrong way to receive Reiki. You don't have to feel anything special, stay awake or try to make anything happen. Sometimes, simply allowing yourself to rest is enough. 🌿

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭: 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧.
Some sessions bring sensations, colours, images or intuitive impressions. Others are much quieter. I don't go into a session expecting to feel, see or hear anything in particular. Whether I am scanning the body or offering Reiki, I try to remain present, listen to what I am experiencing and allow myself to be guided without forcing an experience or interpretation. For me, this is where the physical and spiritual sides of my practice come together. I am working with Reiki while remaining open to my own intuitive awareness, always remembering that each person and each session is unique. I am not there to diagnose or tell someone what they must be feeling. I am there to offer Reiki, hold a safe and nurturing space and work with care, respect and an open heart. The longer I practise, the more I appreciate that I don't need to have all the answers. Sometimes, simply being present and allowing the session to unfold is enough.

I hope this gives you a little insight into my side of the session and if you haven't experienced Reiki before, you don't need to understand any of this or feel anything special. You can simply come as you are and allow yourself the time to rest and receive.

✨ 𝘼𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 | 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠 𝘼𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙙 ✨
𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙠, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮. 🌙
We began with a fiery Leo Moon, joining Mars and Jupiter and bringing plenty of enthusiasm, confidence and determination — although Monday certainly had the potential for a little drama!

Tuesday invited the Leo Moon to meet Jupiter, amplifying confidence, creativity and the desire to fully express ourselves. Sometimes believing in ourselves isn’t ego — it is simply remembering our own worth.

𝙏𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙩 𝙒𝙚𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙮 — 𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙮’𝙨 𝙙𝙖𝙮— with Mercury meeting retrograde Venus in Scorpio. This continues a theme I touched on in my 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙩: looking beneath the surface and perhaps revisiting conversations, memories, relationships, values and emotional attachments that still have something to show us.

With this is the background the Moon is moving us toward a 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙖 𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙮 🌑 𝙒𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝙥𝙝𝙖𝙨𝙚 — the final days of the lunar cycle. This is traditionally a quieter time; a time for turning inward, completing, releasing and allowing ourselves to pause before beginning again.

𝘼𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙑𝙞𝙧𝙜𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙖, there is an invitation to notice what needs clearing, what needs adjusting and where we may have become out of balance. Sometimes this clearing is quite practical — tidying, finishing something, letting go of what is no longer needed. But sometimes it is much deeper.

𝘼 𝙝𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙩. 𝘼 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙛. 𝘼𝙣 𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣. 𝘼 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙙𝙮𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙘. 𝙊𝙧 𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙪𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣.

By Saturday, the Libra New Moon opens a new lunar cycle — bringing relationships, balance, cooperation and the agreements we make with others, and with ourselves, into focus. So rather than rushing towards the new beginning, perhaps this week is about making space for it first.

🌙 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨?
What are you ready to release?
What might you choose to do differently when this new cycle begins?

As we move through this deeper, inward-looking energy, perhaps notice what is asking for your attention. If something is coming up for you that feels ready to be gently explored, Reiki may offer a supportive space to begin.

Sometimes, simply giving yourself permission to pause, breathe and be held in a safe and nurturing space can be the first step towards healing.

And just like that, we have arrived in October. We are in Libra season, a time that naturally turns our attention towards relationships, balance, harmony and the way we relate to others — but there is quite a lot happening in the cosmos this month, so I thought I would begin a little Weekend Astrology series alongside my Astrologically Speaking posts, which will continue on Wednesdays.

So, what is happening as we move through this first weekend of October?
🌙 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐢𝐨
Mercury entered Scorpio at the beginning of the month, bringing a deeper quality to our thinking and conversations. Scorpio doesn't tend to stay on the surface. It invites us to look beneath what is being said and perhaps even beneath what we are willing to acknowledge. And with Mercury turning retrograde later this month, some conversations, decisions or experiences may need to be revisited, reconsidered or looked at from another perspective.

💗 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐢𝐨
This is perhaps one of the biggest themes of this weekend. Venus, the ruler of Libra, turned retrograde in Scorpio on 3rd October and will remain here until 25th October, when she returns to Libra to complete her retrograde journey through to mid-November. Venus retrograde can bring a period of reviewing and revisiting our relationships, our values and what we truly want — and in Scorpio, the themes can become much deeper in areas around:

Scorpio is often concerned with what happens beneath the surface — the things we don't necessarily share with everyone else. Because Venus has begun her retrograde in the early degrees of Scorpio, we may find ourselves being drawn back towards something from the past that still needs understanding, acknowledgement or resolution.

Perhaps it is an old relationship. Perhaps something was left unsaid. Perhaps there is a pattern around trust, control or vulnerability that is asking to be seen. Or perhaps there is simply something within ourselves that we have been holding onto for longer than we realised.
