After almost a week of personal development I’m heading home.
It is always so good to create time and space to work on yourself. Does that mean I think there is something wrong with me or that I am broken. No.
It simply doesn’t means I am willing to look at parts of myself i have ignored in order to grow and create a life I love.
For so long I have fought against who I am. And I think so many of us do that. I have tried to push and stuff myself in places that were never designed for me. All in a way to try and fit in thinking that was what was required for me to be accepted, for me to find where I belonged.
I think in society we become the ultimate shape shifter in order to feel safe and be who we think people need us to be and it’s become suffocating.
We loose sense of who we are, we become burried under the weight of perceived expectations. We become so numb to allowing ourselves or giving ourself permission to feel anything. And we live with this constant feeling of something we can’t put our finger on and a deep knowing there must be more.
We you can sit with yourself, allow yourself to feel what’s really moving through you and ask yourself some deeper questions, your truth can’t not be seen and once you see it, you can’t un-see it.
It gives me so much gratitude to be able to hold space for people who are willing to show up and meet all of who they are.
It was what I was out here for and the more I meet myself the greater my capacity to hold that space becomes.
The riches of life truly do come from not only knowing who you are but loving every part of yourself.
