At Rutherford Doctors, we're proud to bulk bill eligible patients in our community, because quality GP care should be accessible to everyone, full stop.

Bulk billing is available for:

✅ Children 16 and under
✅ Pension and concession card holders
✅ DVA card holders

For all other patients, we're a mixed billing clinic with private fees clearly listed on our website, so you always know what to expect before you arrive. No awkward surprises at the front desk, ever.

🟡 COLD: Gradual onset · Mild fatigue · Runny nose · Sneezing · Sore throat · Rarely a fever. Annoying, but manageable.

🔴 FLU: Hits suddenly and hard · High fever · Intense body aches · Extreme exhaustion · Chills. Can knock you flat for weeks.

Put it this way, with a cold you feel under the weather. With the flu, the weather moves in and refuses to leave. 😅

We’re excited to welcome Dr Maryia Badshah to the Rutherford Doctors team 👩‍⚕️

Dr Badshah is our newest GP, bringing a broad and valuable range of clinical experience across emergency medicine, general medicine, surgery, orthopaedics and haematology. Her background in Queensland hospitals has shaped her calm, thorough and compassionate approach to patient care, especially when it comes to acute presentations and supporting patients through complex health needs.

What really stands out is her genuine focus on people. Dr Badshah is passionate about preventive health, patient education, and making sure every patient feels heard, understood and supported in their healthcare journey. Whether it’s a routine check-up, ongoing health management, or something that just doesn’t feel quite right, she takes the time to care properly.

We’re proud to have her as part of our team and know she will be a wonderful addition to our community.
