Casual Disability Transport Driver
Bankstown, NSW
Are you a safe, reliable and compassionate driver who enjoys helping others? We are seeking a Casual Disability Transport Driver to provide safe and professional transport for NDIS participants throughout the Sydney metropolitan area.
About the Role
This position is primarily responsible for transporting participants to and from appointments, programs and community activities while ensuring they feel safe, respected and supported throughout their journey.
The role is based in Bankstown, with regular travel between Bankstown, Penrith and the Sydney CBD, along with surrounding suburbs.
Hours
This is a casual position with regular rostered shifts on:
Monday
Wednesday
Friday
Additional weekday hours and weekend shifts may also be available.
Please note that while there are regular scheduled days, transport requirements can change from week to week. As this is a casual role, ongoing hours cannot be guaranteed.
This role may suit someone looking for regular part-time-style casual work, such as a semi-retired person, or someone who has flexibility and is not dependent on a guaranteed number of hours. We welcome applications from people of all ages and backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
Safely transport NDIS participants to appointments and community activities.
Assist participants to enter and exit the vehicle where required.
Provide a friendly, respectful and professional service.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any issues promptly.
Complete transport records as required.
Follow all road safety, workplace health and safety, and NDIS standards.
Essential Requirements
Current Australian Driver Licence with a safe driving record.
Current Working With Children Check.
Current National Police Check.
Reliable, punctual and professional.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Desirable
Experience working with people with disability, aged care or community services.
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
NDIS Worker Screening Check.
