Tendon rehab isn’t random, it’s progressive.
Each phase has a purpose, and skipping steps is usually where things unravel.

Isometrics → calm symptoms + reintroduce load
Eccentrics → build control + tendon tolerance
Slow heavy isotonic → develop real strength
Energy storage → prepare for speed + elasticity
Sport-specific → return to performance demands

It’s not about doing everything at once, it’s about doing the right thing at the right time.
Progress too quickly? Flare-up.
Stay too conservative? No adaptation.

The goal is simple:
👉 Gradually expose the tendon to increasing load
👉 Build capacity that actually transfers to your sport/life

If your rehab feels like guesswork, it probably is.
Book in with the team at Toronto Health and we’ll map out a clear, progressive plan to get you from pain to performance.

Tendinopathy isn’t just “overuse”, it’s usually a mix of how load is applied, progressed, and tolerated over time.

Overuse.
Misuse.
Rapid-use.
Compression.

These are your provocative factors, and most flare-ups come back to one (or more) of these tipping too far.

Rehab isn’t about doing less forever.
It’s about finding the right balance:
👉 Reduce what’s aggravating symptoms
👉 Maintain (or rebuild) capacity
👉 Gradually reintroduce load with intent

Tendons adapt but only when the load is appropriate, consistent, and progressive.
If you keep swinging between “too much” and “not enough,” they’ll keep reminding you.

Load is the tool.
Balance is the strategy.

If you’re stuck in that cycle or not sure how to progress your rehab, it’s time to get a plan in place. Book in with the team at Toronto Health and let’s take the guesswork out of it!

Most people with persistent low back pain are doing the “right” things…
strengthening, mobility, treatment, and still dealing with it.

Here’s why 👇
It’s not just about capacity.
It’s about how you move in the tasks that trigger it.
Bending. Sitting. Lifting. Getting up.

If those aren’t assessed directly, you’re guessing.
And guessing might help short-term, but it won’t give you confidence when pain comes back.

At Toronto Health we:
→ Assess the exact movements causing symptoms
→ Make small changes in real time
→ Help you move with confidence again
Small changes = big shifts.

At Toronto Health, we assess, adjust, and build confidence in real time.
Stop guessing. Start understanding.

Most people don’t realise this…
Stress fractures rarely come from one big moment.

They build quietly over time until your body finally says “enough.”
That “niggle” you’ve been training through?
The pain that disappears with rest but comes straight back when you load it again?

That’s not normal soreness.
That’s your warning sign.

The biggest mistake we see is athletes pushing through it for too long…
and turning something small into weeks (or months) out of training.

At Toronto Health, we don’t just treat the pain, we identify why it happened and build a plan so it doesn’t come back.

If you’ve got persistent pain that isn’t improving, don’t wait for it to get worse.
