When you speak the truth and hold people accountable for their actions, you'll often be disliked for it.
The truth will never satisfy those who are busy twisting or hiding it. Speak it anyway.
You'll be called dramatic for naming things accurately. You'll be called difficult for expecting accountability instead of excuses. You'll watch people who should be uncomfortable with their own behavior redirect that discomfort onto you instead, because it's easier to attack the messenger than face the message.
That reaction was never actually about you. It's about what your honesty threatens, the comfortable narrative someone built to avoid taking responsibility, the peace that only exists because everyone agreed to stay quiet about what's actually happening. Your truth disrupts that agreement, and disruption always gets punished before it gets appreciated.
But silence was never actually protecting you. It was just protecting everyone else's comfort at the cost of your integrity. Speaking up doesn't guarantee you'll be believed immediately, or liked, or thanked. It just means you stopped participating in a lie you knew wasn't true.
Say it anyway. Not because everyone will receive it well, but because you'll finally be able to live with yourself for not staying silent.
