Is your desk setup really the problem? 🤔
If you have been sore from sitting, you have probably been told your chair, your screen height, or your "posture" is to blame. The research tells a different story.
A controlled trial of 3,000 workers found ergonomic training made no long-term difference to back pain. Big reviews since have reached the same conclusion: tweaking the workstation does not prevent work-related pain.
What does help? Movement and strength. The same research found resistance exercise eased workplace aches and pains.
Your body is not a fragile machine that breaks if you sit "wrong". It is strong and adaptable. Sore from sitting is simply a nudge to get up and move.
Try movement snacks through the day, a lunchtime walk, or a bit of strength work you enjoy.
