💛 R U OK? Day | Every Day Matters 💛

Today is R U OK? Day, but at A Gentle Touch Funerals, we believe every day should be R U OK? Day.

A simple “Are you OK?” can mean so much to someone who may be struggling, feeling lonely or simply having a difficult day.

Take the time to check in with your family, friends, workmates and neighbours, not just today, but every day. Listen, show you care and remind those around you that they are never alone. 💛

Because sometimes, one simple question can make all the difference.

🐾 Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

Today we’re celebrating some of the most loyal, loving and wonderful members of our families...our dogs! ❤️
Here at A Gentle Touch Funerals, our staff absolutely LOVE their dogs, and we’re always happy when our families bring their furry friends in for a visit.
There’s nothing quite like a wagging tail, a happy face and a few cuddles to brighten our day.
We know that dogs are more than just pets, they’re family.
They’re there through the good times, the difficult times and everything in between. They bring comfort, companionship and so much unconditional love into our lives.
To all the beautiful dogs in our AGTF family and the families we have the privilege of caring for Happy National Dog Day! 🐕❤️

On Tuesday, Courtney attended Vietnam Veterans’ Day in Mudgeeraba to lay a wreath in honour and remember the brave men and women who served our country.
We remember those who fought for our country, those who never made it home, and those who returned carrying memories and experiences from the battles they faced.
Their courage, sacrifice and service will never be forgotten.
Lest We Forget.
We Will Remember Them.

On Tuesday, Lorraine and Patrick had a fantastic day at the Broadbeach Seniors Expo, where they enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people from our local community.

There was plenty of interest in our pre-paid funeral plans, with many visitors stopping by to ask questions and learn more about planning ahead. Lorraine and Patrick were delighted to assist everyone.

One of the highlights of the day was catching up with families we have previously had the privilege of caring for. It was incredibly touching to hear their kind words and recommendations about the professionalism, compassion, and care they received throughout their grieving journey. Feedback like this reminds us why we do what we do.

Thank you to everyone who visited our stand. Whether you came to ask questions, share your experience, or simply say hello, it was a pleasure meeting you. We look forward to seeing you again at our next community event!

This week marks the 50th anniversary of NAIDOC Week, a time to celebrate the rich history, diverse cultures, and remarkable achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

As we recognise this important week, we acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters on which we live and work, and pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their descendants. We honour their Elders past, present, and emerging, whose knowledge, strength, and leadership continue to guide future generations.

We are especially honoured to have supported many First Nations families over the years, walking alongside them during some of life's most difficult moments. It is a privilege to help families celebrate and honour the lives of their loved ones in ways that reflect their traditions, values, and wishes.

We proudly acknowledge the Kombumerri families as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we stand and extend our respect to all First Nations peoples across Australia.

Happy NAIDOC Week.
