There are many types of cheap ear wax removal equipment available online. They offer, what seems to be, an easy solution that can be done at home.

While you might think you have a steady hand and impeccable eyesight, the risk of permanently damaging your ear drum when removing ear wax with one of these gadgets, is high. It is not worth it.

We can help!!

We offer gentle, microsuction ear wax removal by trained clinicians, as well as ear wax removal spray which you can use at home.

If you feel like you have a full ear canal and have noticed a decline in your hearing, please make an appointment to see us.

Do you need professional ear wax removal?

If you are experiencing hearing loss, a feeling of fullness in your ear/s, ear pain, itchiness or dizziness then talk to us.

Some people are more prone to ear wax blockage than others, including those who have:
- A tendency to produce a lot of ear wax
- Narrow ear canals
- Hairy ear canals
- Inflammatory conditions of the skin or scalp
OR
- Clean with fingertips or cotton buds, which pushes wax further down the canals
- Work in dusty or dirty environments.

Our fully trained staff use the microsuction method which uses a fine suction device to remove ear wax in a safe and easy way.

Please book online or call 02 4023 2055 to make an appointment.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR HEARING AID AND COCHLEAR IMPLANT USERS

If you wear Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids or Cochlear implants, please be aware of the nationwide test 2pm AEST on Monday July 27 of the new AusAlert emergency warning system.

During the test, compatible mobile phones will play a 10 second emergency alert siren. If your hearing devices are connected to your phone via Bluetooth, the alert may stream directly into your hearing aids or Cochlear implant processor. This may be unexpectedly loud or startling.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:
- Turn off Bluetooth on your phone around 10 minutes before the test so the alert plays through your phone's speaker instead of your hearing aids.

- If preferred, briefly remove your hearing aid/s or Cochlear implant processor just before the scheduled 2pm test time.

- Once the AusAlert has finished, reconnect your hearing aids to your phone via Bluetooth. Refit your hearing aid/s or Cochlear implant if you removed them before the test.
