Ever wondered what tools our Speech and Occupational Therapist use in their sessions? 🧩 👀

There are a variety of toys, visual resources and play-based activities that we carefully select to promote growth in different areas like:

✏️ fine and gross motor skills

We’re serving up something new and exciting… Milestones Feeding Program coming soon!

Our new Feeding Program is a 10-week integrated OT + Speech program that supports children with feeding difficulties - including a restricted diet, strong reactions to textures, or mealtimes that are consistently stressful or are a source of anxiety at home.

The program will be dually run by our wonderful Occupational Therapist Joey (trained in SOS feeding and sensory processing) and Speech Pathologist Annalisa (trained in OMT)

The Australian Government has announced several changes to the NDIS - With new eligibility rules being enforced from 2028 and Social and Community Participation funding being reduced, here’s what you can do right now to stay informed and prepared:

👉 Ensure that your child’s reports are up to date and clearly articulates the functional impacts of your child’s diagnosis or disability.

👉 Apply for NDIS funding now, if you have been thinking about it.

👉 Reach out before upcoming plan reviews, so that we can best advocate for your funding.

Boundaries… why are they important?

Let’s bust a big myth… setting boundaries is not a form of punishment!

Boundaries actually help our children learn how to understand situations and provide a clear, predictable routine that allows our children to better understand what is expected 🪁

Boundaries can be set as a reminder for parents to not “win” the battle, but to better show your child how you can best support them to understand expectations through consistency. This helps us build trust with our children 🤝

Changing the way we approach our children in different circumstances will help our children better learn and become adaptable to changes, as well as enable them with the skills to navigate the world around us 💚
