The way our streets, services and public spaces are designed determines who can participate and who is left out.

The ICALL project just launched an online course on building inclusive communities across Europe, to learn how we can create places where people with disabilities are fully included.

Learn from practical examples and gain insights to turn inclusion into reality in all aspects of everyday life.

A stronger Supported Employment model starts with more skilled trainers.

Through the SUPPORT project, 24 national trainers came together in Brussels for a Training of Trainers programme focused on strengthening Supported Employment practices and promoting inclusive labour markets.

Using a train-the-trainers approach, participants explored practical learning methods and built the skills needed to bring Supported Employment training back to their national contexts.

Last week in Brussels, we hosted the final conference of the eVeR safe project!

The project enhanced safety skills for people with autism through innovative Virtual Reality learning tools and training materials for professionals and service providers.
The event brought together disability organisations and emergency response experts to discuss how Europe can ensure more inclusive emergency response systems for people with disabilities. Participants experienced the project’s VR training tools designed to support autistic people in safely navigating emergency situations.

For an organisation to flourish, its purpose is essential. We are very lucky, because in our sector this purpose comes by nature.

These words from EASPD president Kirsi Konola have been guiding us for the two days of our conference in Porto. For disability support services to turn their purpose into reality, we need strong leadership, financial sustainability and modernised HR policies to ensure the wellbeing of staff.

As disability service providers, we have a responsibility to find new, better ways to support people with disabilities in their daily lives. In this work, our hope and ambition are strategic tools for building more inclusive communities and stronger support systems.

Financial skills are crucial for independence; teaching them must be accessible to everyone.

The Beyond Digits project has developed a series of training materials to help neurodiverse individuals understand money, plan their expenses, and make everyday financial decisions.

Project partners are currently testing the training with those following the course, beginning to apply their newly acquired knowledge in practice, calculating, accounting for, and verifying currency on their own and are becoming increasingly confident in making financial decisions in real-life situations.
