25/06/2026

Belgian Cycling and the organizers of the Belgian Time Trial Championships in Maarkedal have decided to implement several additional measures.

The first rider in the Men's Elite 2 category will start tomorrow at 14:38 instead of the scheduled 13:00.

The Men's Elite, who were supposed to complete two laps, will, like the other categories, only complete one lap.

These measures aim to shorten the duration of the event and make it more manageable for everyone involved, including staff, marshals, and motorcyclists, as well as the spectators.

☀️ Heat Protocol Update 🌡️

With high temperatures expected over the coming days, additional measures from our heat protocol may be activated to help ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.

Our federations are monitoring weather conditions on a daily basis and assessing the situation continuously. If necessary, additional measures or adjustments will be communicated promptly to riders, clubs, organisers, and participants.

The safety of our cycling community remains our top priority together with Cycling Vlaanderen and Wallonie - Bruxelles Cycling 🤝

RIP Geert (27/07/1963 - 18/01/2026)
