Join us on Sunday, June 28 at 10:00 AM for the LRWC Colour Run, taking place behind the Lakeshore Regional Wellness Centre at the Ashern Central School playground. This family-friendly event, cosponsored by Novo Nordisk's Community Challenge, is all about laughing, moving, and getting covered from head to toe in bright bursts of colour!

Participants can choose between a 3K or 5K route. This is an untimed event focused on fun rather than competition, but anyone who wants to track their own time is welcome to do so. Best of all, registration is completely free, and lunch will be provided afterward for all participants.

Along the route, runners and walkers will pass through colour stations where volunteers will use squeeze bottles to blast non-toxic colour powder onto participants’ clothing as they pass by. Volunteers will aim for clothing rather than faces, and participants who have asthma or are concerned about eye irritation are encouraged to wear goggles or a bandana at the colour stations. Extra colour packets will also be available for purchase for $5 each if you want even more colourful fun.

You do NOT have to sing! 😄 The theme is simply songs that are known as great singalongs — the kind everyone recognizes and can’t help but hum along to.

From ABBA to Adele, Neil Diamond to Nirvana, and Backstreet Boys to Bruno Mars, we’ve got a fun mix of decades and genres for everyone to enjoy.

Listen for the songs and mark them on your card. We’ll provide the title and artist after each song plays, but players who recognize the songs quickly will have the advantage!

Our fieldhouse has some exciting new equipment for babies, toddlers, and young children, including soft building blocks, climbing equipment, pop-up tunnels, riding toys and much more! Bring your stroller too! Stroller walking is welcome during this time on the Co-Op Community Walking Track.

Ever wondered what edible treasures are growing right in your own backyard? Join us for Foraging 101: Finding Food in the Wild, an introduction to foraging where you’ll learn how to safely find and harvest local favourites like morels, berries, wild asparagus and more.

Led by Erica of Mossy Birch Homestead, this presentation-style session will guide you through the basics of foraging, respectful harvesting practices, and ways to reconnect with the land, with time built in for questions and discussion. Erica brings a wealth of lived experience in wildcrafting, gardening, and creating natural wellness products. We must have a minimum number of participants to run this event, so please register soon!

Get ready for a night of Singalong Songs. Enjoy a mix of decades and genres, from ABBA to Adele, Neil Diamond to Nirvana, Backstreet Boys to Bruno Mars. There’s something for everyone!

Instead of numbers, you’ll listen for songs. Recognize it? Mark it right away. Quick listeners have the advantage! We’ll share the song title after it plays so everyone can dab if they have the song on their card.

We’ll play 4 games, each with a cash prize:
