Avoid Sub-par Flower Arrangements
Flowers are a symbol of love, and they adorn the background or backdrop at most funerals. Families will order elaborate floral arrangements to surround either a casket or urn of their beloved. The beauty and naturalness that their colours provide is a source of peace to all who attend these ceremonies.
Well-wishers will often also have flowers sent to a funeral home as a gesture of love and remembrance. Together with family flower arrangements, these buds, blossoms and blooms are a natural statement about the beauty that is found in our lives.
In recent years we are noticing that online flower distributers are trying to ‘disrupt’ local markets. With a promise to provide elaborate arrangements at unrealistically low prices they are introducing an option that is not necessarily in a family’s best interest.
Often when such flowers arrive at a funeral home, they look nowhere near what has been ordered and on occasion, sometimes these online providers do not fulfill the order placed with them. These online companies typically do not have local shops and are simply looking to find a local florist where they can negotiate a price with them to achieve their own business objectives. Beware! What is being paid for isn’t necessarily being received.
If you seek flowers for a service, if you are the family or are a well-wisher, we have good working relationships with local florists and can recommend a reputable supplier. It is important to have a vibrant display which is admired and even commented on at a service. We can help to achieve this.
