🍂 Fall is coming — but falls at home don’t have to be.
As we head into the fall season, this is a great time to take a closer look at how safely you or a loved one is managing at home.
Small changes in mobility can sometimes be easy to overlook. You may notice someone:
🏠 Holding onto furniture when walking
🛁 Having more difficulty getting in or out of the shower
🪜 Avoiding stairs or needing more help to use them
🪑 Struggling to get up from a favourite chair or couch
🚶 Becoming unsteady, fatigued, or experiencing near-falls
An Occupational Therapist can assess the person in their own home and recommend practical solutions to improve safety while maintaining as much independence as possible.
Recommendations may include mobility equipment, bathroom safety equipment, grab bars, stair lifts, ramps, transfer equipment, or simple changes to the home environment.
💜 At Revive Occupational Therapy, our goal is to help people continue doing what matters to them safely and independently at home.
📍 In-home OT services available throughout Brantford, Hamilton, Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, Niagara & surrounding communities.
