Ashley Millington-Hogg RMT Registered Massage Therapist, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture/Neurofunctional Acupuncture and the Invictus Games.

I am a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO)
and CMAG - Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Group

I have been a practicing RMT in good standing with the CMTO since 2014, and completed my acupuncture certification through the McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program. During my time at Georgian College, I was given the opportunity to be involved in various clinical and outreach experiences, such as varsity athletics, pregnancy and infant, complex care, palliative care, fibromyalgia and geriatrics. Since obtaining my registration I strive to keep active in my local community as much as possible by volunteering with local organizations. Every year I volunteer at the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer event and other events held in the community. In previous years I have been a part of the Brant ParaSport Winter Games in Brantford, Ont. I strive to give the best possible care to all my clients through massage therapy. I offer a wide range of treatments from traditional massage, Neurofunctional Acupuncture (contemporary medial acupuncture) and cupping therapy. Every treatment is catered to the clients needs, wanted outcomes and well-being.

Massage School was Anatomy, Physiology and Techniques

What it didnt teach me were the lessons that would shape my career to last 20+ years.

*Laundry, it doesnt sound like much but it piles up and its truly the last thing you want to deal with after a long day.

*Marketing is so daunting, it doesnt come naturally, its the biggest struggle in my career. Adding all the other hats - book keeping, IT, the admin side of the business can be rough and very time consuming.

*Sayin No is a skill and boundries are incredibly important.

*I wont be the RMT for every client and thats okay!

*The biggest learning moments are long after graduation.

Im so grateful for what mssage therapy taught/gave me, i’m even more grateful for everything since.

I wouldnt change a single thing, I love being a RMT more now than i did 10 years ago.
