We are a not for profit government funded provider of home support services to residents of Lunenburg County

Lunenburg County Home Support is a not for profit government funded agency that is contracted by South Shore District Health Authority to provide home support services to residents of Lunenburg County. These services include personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, respite and palliative care services. Services are provided by qualified Home Support Workers in the client's home.

Applicants must have a provincial certificate from the Continuing Care Assistant Program or have grandfathered PCW, HSW or HHA certification.
Home support offers a varied and rewarding role where you will get to assist your clients with their independence enabling them to stay in their own homes for longer!

Guaranteed hours
Provincial CCA rate (minimum of $27.20 - $27.87 per hour)

Flexible schedules
NSHEPP Pension matched by Employer + an additional 1.4% given by employer
Mileage compensated at pgr (currently $0.5932 per km)
Time and mileage paid to travel between clients.

Lunenburg County Home Support Services Society
Requires: A Full-Time Receptionist in their Bridgewater Office
35-40 hours weekly
Responsibilities:
• Receptionist duties including answering phones, relaying voice-mails, greeting visitors, providing general information and directing queries to the appropriate individuals.
• Provides secretarial support including, spreadsheet creation and maintenance, photocopying, faxing and daily postal services.
• Assists finance with invoices and receipts.
• Assists payroll with visit verification in Alayacare.
• Assists with maintenance of files in Alayacare.
• Maintains inventory of home support supplies.
• Utilizes and refines spreadsheets and Alayacare in order to maintain accurate and organized data. Assists in producing reports as required.

Qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills
• Grade 12 Education
• Excellent computer skills & knowledge of data entry and mobile applications
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team
• Able to work in a busy and noisy work environment

Hours of work are Mon – Fri
This position is non-unionized.
