We’re excited to share that Lark and Raven Wellness is part of the 2026 Community Fund Program! Our idea focuses on two important ways to support our community:

🌿 Creating a warm, welcoming therapeutic group room where people experiencing grief, loss, and other life challenges can feel safe and supported.
💚 Offering three free, six-week su***de loss grief therapy groups for adults, Grief can be isolating, and no one should have to navigate it alone. Our in person group (Calgary, Alberta) and a virtual group (Alberta) will offer people who have lost someone to su***de a place to connect with others who understand and access specialized support without financial barriers.

With your help, we can create more opportunities for connection, compassion, and healing for people in our community.

Grief & Loss Therapy Group 🤍

Grief can be heavy, confusing, exhausting, lonely, and sometimes completely unexpected. It can show up months or years later. It can affect our relationships, our bodies, our sense of identity, and how we imagine the future. And sometimes, the people who love us simply don't understand what it's like to carry a loss every day.

This fall, Rural Haven Therapeutics is offering an 8-week Grief & Loss Therapy Group for adults who have experienced the death of a loved one.

This group is about creating a space where you don't have to explain why you're still grieving, pretend you're okay, or feel pressured to “move on.” Instead, we'll make room for the loss, learn more about what happens to us when someone we love dies, and explore how we can begin building a life that carries both grief and connection, loss and meaning, remembering and living.

Most importantly, this group offers an opportunity to be with others who understand that grief does not follow a timeline and that moving forward does not mean leaving the person you love behind.

🌿 $60 per session
🌿 Insurance receipts available

The group will be facilitated by Jennifer Topiwala. Jennifer has additional training and certifications in grief and bereavement and has a particular passion for supporting people through loss. Her approach to grief work is compassionate and genuine, creating space for all of the emotions that can come with losing someone you love... without expectations about what grief is supposed to look like or how long it should last.
